I gotta tell ya ... the more pics of the VW trikes I see ... the more I think I may get one of those and keep the wing as a 2 wheeler ... ... might take a little longer to get there ... but probably worth it ... ya know ... just to be different.

Hi All
A while back I posted pics of the trike below during its 4 year build. It has been on the road now for the last 2 years and I am loving it.
That is an awesome looking mid engine you built there Trike!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love it! Very cool!
These are mine and my husband's trikes. Mine, the red one, is a '71 1641cc dual port and his is a '73 1600cc dual port. We both love to ride and tinker on them!

Very Nice ride safe and enjoy
Stallion #406 // 2013 Tri-Glide
top of the frame is Honda GL1100 as well as the forks, front wheel and handlebar assembly. The rest is hand built. 1776 engine, side draft CV40 from a Harley (modified) under the seat. It runs great, is fun, is stable and reliable. The fan on the oil cooler is set to come on @ 180 degrees oil temp on the outlet back to the motor and rarely comes on. Some heat off the engine @ stop lights in hot weather but none going down the road.
Looking to build a leading link fork and figure to mount a car tire on the front once I get the trail right.
First, welcome to TrikeTalk Gleep!!!! Glad ya found us man.
That is a very sweet looking mid engine VW trike. Very clean and great lines.
Have you got any pictures of the side draft carb and how you set it up and what not? That would be great information for the VW trike forum.
I'll see what pic's I can dredge up for the carb set up. Thanks for looking!
