Post Your VW Trike Pics

2010 VW Trike

Here's mine. "Country Girl". 1641cc engine. 4-speed manual transmission. Electronic ignition. Disc brakes on rear. Hydraulic clutch. Foot throttle. Front forks are from 1981 CB900F Honda and titled as such. Clean title in hand. All metal body and fenders with custom candy apple red paint job. Oil pressure and battery gauges in dash. New tire on front in summer 2016 and rear tires in good shape. New battery in spring of 2017. LED brake and turn signals. Two 12 volt power plugs for accessories. Had her almost 7 years now. Changed quite a bit of things on her since I got her. She's a great trike, but I'm putting her up for sale. She runs great and everything works as it should. Please PM me for more info. Asking $10.5K Neg.

nice, little help

Nice looking Tike's everyone, wow do I have a lot of work ahead of me if I want mine to look as good as those posted.

Gives me ideas and dreams, thank's for posting the pictures everyone.

Now, Quasimoto, need to ask a favor.

Do you have more detailed pics of your front forks, down at the rocker arms and shock attachment, and type of shock you are using.

Most of all, how do you like the handling of your front end ?

Driving wise the front end handles nice. But it is annoying the front always flops one way or the other when parked.

I will get you some more detailed pics when I get home next time.

I appreciate it Quasimoto, and what brand and model are those shocks. I ask because the OD on them looks fork tube size, that is what I am trying to find.

What is this and what is it worth?

My best friend passed away a few months ago. His mother wants to move back to Arizona with her other son. She has a VW powered trike that she used to ride with her deceased husband YEARS ago in Lake Havasu. However, she hasn't ridden it in a number of years. It needs some TLC and such, but she has no idea what it is worth. She believes it to be a "Phoenix" trike. It has a 1500 CC VW motor, and she thinks it is a Harley Wide glide front fork assembly. I took this picture yesterday when I was helping her clean out some things prior to her move. Any help on what she should ask for this?

My 1970 VW Trike Project

Howdy, Trike-Man here, been away for a bit, but now I'm back, still working on that mid-engine Corvair build. But since then I bought a VW Trike kit, The body is in fair shape, the motor is (1500) shot, anyway here's photo ...

I have pulled motor, it's a basket case, looking for a 1600 to build up ....

Here's my new (to me) trike. I've already posted some pics in the new member introductions, but will post again here. Built on an '81 Honda CB750F frame, with a Harley fork, clutch, brake, tank and lots of other parts. VW engine and transaxle, 2 barrel Weber carb, and headers. Extra gas tank in the box behind the seat.

Got a lot of questions about this, like what kind of Harley fork this is (has a 100th year anniversary logo on the handlebar mount), and what cc the engine really is. Was told it was a 2100 with 2200 jugs, but I looked for some ID on the block, and came up with the code shown above.

Did some checking online for the block codes, and found that if it had a VW reman symbol, it had never been in a production car. The F I see says it's a 1300, but I'm not sure if that's right or not.

Could it have been a reman that was line bored to accept larger journals for the crank? (I'm in Engineering, and spend a lot of years in machining, so this stuff is right up my alley!) All I know is it sounds really good, and it really takes off quick when you let out the clutch (need a better foot pedal for that).

I don't know who built it, or how long ago it was built, but it definitely took some work to put this together! Now I just need to make some improvements to it, and get it out and ride it after I get my permit. Can't wait!

Apologies if the post is too long, just excited to show it off!

Thanks for looking!

Jim
