Jonesy, Pete has the fenders, it was where he attached them to his home made trike that failed.
Pete needs to reengineer the brace placement so it doesn't receive vibrations.
Pete did an excellent job making his trike.

Thanks for the , Rosy!
Jonesy, Thanks for the tip.
I actually bought 2 trailer fenders from Tractor Supply, & then proceeded to butcher them beyond all reasonable & further use when I was building it.
After that I found a couple of Softail "bobbed" rear fenders that I really liked, which I modified to use.
I initially constructed the braces/mounting brackets in the wrong location on the rear swing arms. Unfortunately, that improper location ended up being subject to way too much vibration.
I should have known that, but the way the fenders hugged the tires in that particular spot was appealing to me & I erred in going that route.
I've been pretty lucky in that not much else has failed from my lack of engineering education/experience, (feverishly knocking on wood!).
I'm determined to get the fenders re mounted before the snow flies around here. That way if the winter gets too much to deal with, I can throw my travel bag on the trike & head south!
Way to go Pete, see you at The Snowbird Rally if you get sick & tired of the snow! LOL
Hope your reegineering goes well!
Rosy
Rosy, when are you folks heading south??
I'm off to CA the end of the month. Will only be gone a week. Not sure why I'm taking my golf clubs since I haven't hit a single ball since Aug 2014..... Also the guys I'm supposed to play with have had knee replacement surgery and a pace maker....Funny thing is, they are both younger then me...
We are headed to NM for the Holidays, come back to NH in January, head to the Snowbird Rally and our rental in late January.
We will be in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. All our Friends from past Rallies will be there & maybe make new Friends this year.
Our Floridian Friends should show us new sites this year as we explore Florida on different rides.
Coming down?
Rosy
Safe travels in All your endeavors! We are sure you will have a good time.
Rosy
Hey NH Trikers, we will be hosting the Northeast Rally this year in Dover.
Please, give me a shout if you are planning on attending.
Thanks.
Rosy
Are Massachusetts Trikers included too?
Hey neighbor, you are more than Welcome. Don't tell anybody, but I do have some good friends in Mass!
Come join us.
Rosy
Merry Christmas NH Trikers! If you travel today, please, be safe! Enjoy the Holiday with Family!
Rosy & Janice
From Dover, NH
Got the trike out and took my first ride ever on Christmas Day! It was 51 degrees and still now snow.
In Youth you Learn. In Age you Understand. Now if I could just remember what I learned.:xzqxz:
That's great, enjoy every minute of this warm weather, because, in NH, you never know when nature will turn Nasty!
Rosy
Please don't forget, NH is hosting the Northeast Rally this year.
If you can, come join us, this August to meet fellow Trikers from other parts of the USA. It should be fun!
Rosy
I would like to form a state Trikers club...

Very nice Rosy, but can I get one with a Venture instead of a GW??
Thank you very much. I had fun developing the patch, but everybody who owns different types of trikes wanted their trike on the logo..LOL
There is nothing to do, just be there at some point while we do runs, throughout the state, or meet with us when we have a meet and greet. Just stay posted to the NH site.
The " club" is just starting..no bylaws..no officers...just something to do in the summer time...
Rosy
So how can I get a shirt (or two, gotta hook up the co-rider)?
I will have to find out what prices the shirts are going to be...You see those shirts were made a couple years ago..As I was working on an idea for the club..
The shirts were pricy, as I recalled..
I will go to the printers and ask them the price of shirts, since they should have the patch in their computer, it will be easier for them to embroider. As you can see in the picture, they are embroidered not silk screening..
Let you know what I find out and cost..
You see each shirt is individually done, because each has a name on it. Like ours...Rosy..Janice..
Rosy
I may know someone with an embroidery machine.....I just need to remember who it is...LOL I'll ask around and let you know.
Fellow biker opened a business last year.

Where were all you Granite State Trikers today when I was in Keene picking up my Roadsmith ? I did happen to see DblTrbl's trike while I was there. It looked pretty sharp ! Especially the cylinder head covers. I didn't know my trike had been hanging out with his for the last month.
Great design Rosy.
The trike pictured is, as we all know, a goldwing; however it is generic enough in its embroidered form as to be recognized as a trike vs a 2 wheeled mc to the general population.
What I'm trying to say is most folks will see it as a trike, not realizing it to be a goldwing.
IMO no need to create the shirt/garments with brand specific details...
Thanks Pete, you are correct, it is a Goldwing Hannigan trike, like what I have. I know, people all ready have said..Honda..Honda..Honda...But, how do you make a generic trike? I thought about it, but with my limited design skills, I went with what I had.
How many design patches would I have to design to get every trike...Hundredths..
So, it is a trike, it is our state...GST...But, like all other request, not many people in our state has taken any interest, so, it will be a very small club, and it could be, because we are so far apart, it will be very difficult to get everybody involved in the club...
One thing is clear, NH will be hosting the Northeast Gathering this year and hopefully we will showcase our little state's good things, from the shinning sea to our green mountains.
Go Granite State!
Rosy
Congrats on getting your Trike Hot Rod.
Another delivery date has come and gone for mine. Several emails, text and phone calls have gone unanswered. I even stopped in the shop on Thursday and he wasn't there.
I'm disappointed beyond believe that he hasn't even taken care of the couple of minor things......he is a know procrastinator and is practicing this method on my bike. I'm really not sure how much longer I can be patient....getting tougher with each beautiful day..
That is completely wrong when you are in business!
Rosy
Rosy, when I finally get my trike I plan on cutting ALL ties with this . I would like to get with you and ride to Windham and meet the folks that take care of you and your ride. I will see if the will do any warrantee work if needed.

Pete I'll explain everything when I see you. Right now I'm waiting for my front rim to get back. It was sent to CA to get chromed. Of course this shouldn't be the reason for any delay since I requested a front chrome rim in Oct 2014 and again in the fall of 2015 when I dropped the trike off to be finished.
I'm seriously considering contacting an attorney to check my options.
Will let you know when I take a ride to Widham. Got a second recall on the brake system for the Honda.
Also need to have front shock extensions put on my trike, as it never was put on from the factory. Don't know why it was never done, but was recommended to have it done. I wonder how much better the travel of the shocks will be, as they are good now.
Great people, pricey, but fair, strictly by the labor book.
They also get the job done as promised, when parts are available from local car dealers. Hannigan uses Honda car parts on their brakes, which we had a problem a few years ago getting. Not their fault!
Rosy
Pete, talked to dealer today. He said my rim was shipped on Friday sooooo, it should be at his shop Thru/Fri.... I told him to just get it mounted and do my fender tips (rear).....Told him to forget everything else because I'm tired of waiting for my trike. I told him I will make sure the other stuff gets completed.... Hopefully next week I can get my trike and settle the bill. It should be interesting to see what he plans on charging me for waiting 20 months for a build that he never finished.
Hopefully you get your trike back soon Dennis, & you can put your experience with this vendor? behind you for good...
We need to have a "Season Kickoff" GST ride here in NH now that the snow is gone.
Are you there Rosy?
I am still here, for a while, then heading West!
Yes, we need to get a ride in, one of these days. We will even invite Dennis, with his two wheels! LOL
Rosy
NICE Rosy...NICE...LOL
Well even the two wheeler is in the shop getting a tune up. They left me a message yesterday while I was sleeping. I will call them this morning and maybe the news is the bike is ready for pickup. The bad news would be they found something wrong or due to the pipes, it won't pass inspection due to the Db level. It has a Hypercharger and Hard Chrome pipes.
If it's ready then I will need to find a ride or wait until the weekend but sure would hate to miss a 70* day of riding!!
Still trying to catch up on things around the house. Yesterday's thing was a clogged bath sink drain, need to replace the galvanize pipe which has been in the house since the 50s when it was built! Going to put in a P-drain and make the run in plastic.
So, Janice is walking around the house saying, is it ever going to get warm? Good point. Yesterday it looked like it was warm, but the wind was very chilly!
Hope you get your bike back, and yes. dBs in NH are going to be in forced, don't go to Hampton Beach or the beaches, they stop all bikes/trikes and check.
Rosy
I don't like riding around the beaches....just too many people not paying attention.
The "certified state inspection station" passed my bike with the current setup so if I am ticketed I will fight it.
The bike it ready for pickup. I will get it at 9:30 this morning and of course I must take if for a shakedown cruise. I'm thinking 100 miles or so should give me a good idea of it's handling.
I already know I prefer 3 wheels and I did buy this 2 wheeler with the intent to sell. Hell, I may even use it as part of my final payment on the trike if/when we settle that deal.

Pete, I'm getting the bike this morning at 9:30 and then going for a ride to check it out. I have only ridden it from my house to the shop for a tune up and inspection (7 miles).
PM me and let me know if you will be around nearby in the morning and I'll try to swing by and say HI.
Maybe we can get Rosy to hit Benedict's for breakfast some morning?
