Buddy has 2006 Goldwing. He needs a low beam headlight. He tells me it's "Dealer Only". I told him to sit tight while I checked with the experts. I'm not a beleaver in the "Dealer only mindset". Any help guys??

I have a 2006 Gl800 and always carried H7 bulbs I bought from an automotive store.
Here's a link to Google sites that will tell your friend about Gl1800 lights and how to change them:

The bulb for a 1800 can be purchased at any auto parts store. AND, it is one half to two thirds the price of a Honda dealer. You have to install them by "feel", but unless you have very large hands all four bulbs can be changed with little problem.
Hope this helps.
Thanks guys, that was fast. After posting I did a little 5 min research and found the info and videos needed. Great site. I was surprised my buddy fell for that Dealer only BS. Seams lots of people get cought by the "Adapter"

That is the great thing about this site. Most folks are very helpful and have a wealth of experience and information. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I have only one personal caveat to this and a trick I learned changing mine for the first time recently:
1. Go ahead and change both low beam bulbs. The other one will probably go before too long.
2. I have very large hands. I found the easiest way for me to reach the bulb and clip was to work from the opposite side, i.e., if the left bulb is out, use your left hand by standing on the right side of the bike. After I learned this trick the second bulb took me exactly 2 minutes to change.
3. I would advise buying the Honda bulb. Every bulb I looked at in the auto parts stores was made in China. The Honda bulb was made in Germany. I'm betting the Germans do a better job. YMMV
