I hope things work out for you! I love the versatility of the Freewheeler. Seems you can make this trike anything you want it to be!

Yeah, the flash on my phone did that. Look at the rear fender on the TG behind it and you will see the reflector doing the same thing.
Unless something happens to change things I will be buying an FLRT in the next few weeks. Whether it is this exact one or not will be up to the dealer. We haven't finalized the bottom line.

Congratulations! Great looking ride. RIDE SAFE
Can prevent things from being kicked up into your legs. Also a place to attach highway pegs. And also if you are riding in cold weather you can attach those canvas lower covers for some protection against the wind on your legs. Or you can leave them off if that look is to your taste.

I'm not suggesting anything and please pardon me for being an ignorant newb with only 400 logged miles.
This newb knows that an engine guard is designed to protect the engine during a fall/tip. What I don't know is what you are talking about when you say you are adding lowers.
Ask and you will get an answer. As a "newb with 400 miles" you shouldn't even think about suggestion some one is doing something pointless. Heck, I've logged in excess of 250k on bikes since I was 18 and I still learn a thing or two.
Lowers are the lower part of the fairing on the Tri-Glide and other touring bikes that come with the Batwing fairing. They provide a level of protection for the "lower" part of your body, ie the legs. They are mounted to the engine guard. You also can mount highway pegs to the engine guard (which I will). Some add the guard to add the pegs and extra lights (the FLRT does not come with the passing lamps). One can never have enough lights on a bike.
On a side not, I am close to signing on the dotted line with Mason City, IA.
2k better offer from them and I might still be able to sweeten the deal a bit.
