Hello,

I've lurking for a while, just taking in all the excellent info on the sight, but the time has come for a trike. I have a 99Roadking with some mild engine work, cams, ignition and some head work, port and polish and bigger valves. At the time I did the engine work I was curious to see how it would keep up with the guys with the 95", so I didn't go with bigger pistons and cylinders, I was pleasantly surprised when a good riding buddy thought I had a bigger engine than him. Anyway it would not take much to bump it up if needed with a trike kit installed. I really like the Motor Trike kit, for the adjustability of the air ride on their IRS, but I like to do the work myself, my bike has only been in one "shop" since I've owned it and they basically screwed up everything I asked them to do, but as I understand MT kits must be installed at a dealer.

I know there are really good installers out there but I want to install the kit myself, and the budget is an issue with the financial advisor (wife), I am a licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic and have worked on bikes, cars and trucks all my life so I don't think installing a trike kit would be an issue after reading about all the "guys" doing it on, TT. My next choice would be a Champion kit but I am concerned about how the nonadjustable suspension will handle the extra weight on long trips (wife's luggage). I like the shorter, narrower kits, just for the looks, there are some really cool suspension kits out there but they just take up to much room, IMO. So finally here is my question, do any of you guys/gals have any issues loading up your IRS Champion trike?
Any thoughts or comments will be appreciated.

Thanks

Did you go Motro Trike?

Just wondering if you went with the Motor Trike or the Champion.
