RideOn for Tires

I posted back in 2013 for feedback on RideOn product, and just wondering if there's additional feedback since then. Back then, some seemed to think it's awful, others have no problem and are using it. A mixed bag of information.

I've used Ride-On for years, but have never picked up a nail...etc.. One of the things I like about the stuff is it finishes off the balance of a tire. Talk about smooth. I think the folks that knock it have never used it and mistakenly think it's like Slime.

Probably posted on your 1st inquiry. However, been using it for years. No problems at all.
Stays where it belongs, balances the tire/wheel, no fuss-no mess when replacing tires.
I agree that those that slam it made one of several mistakes w/it or confuse it with slime.
The most common mistake is not reading the installation instructions prior to putting it in a tire!

Glad to hear you talk like that. I've used it for several years now, works for me. But you know how it goes, negative reports get me thinking negative things.

Bill the way I look at that if it works for me and I'm happy really doesn't matter what anyone thinks . Trust your gut and just keep on trucking ,,,,,:clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping:if it hasn't let you down than it works .ThumbUp

A few years ago, missus and I were riding from Okiehoma over the Talamina Parkway to Arkysawz. This is a neat road but little traffic and VERY isolated. We got a flat in the rear which I had added Ride-On goop to and it kept the tire from going totally flat. We were loaded to the gills as well and the flat was caused by splitting. Made it into Arky and got into town and the tech who changed our tire was irritated by the goo but since there is no cell cover on the Talamina and we made it, I could live with the dirty looks. Had to mount a Route 66 tire on the rear as it was the only one that would fit and it was a piece of crap... square like a car tire and I got rid of it when we got home and added more Ride-On to the new rear tire (had it in front as well already). The difference between Ride-On and the stuff you can buy at Tractor Supply is that the cheap stuff tells you that it isn't safe to ride over a certain speed. I use that stuff in my lawn tractor tires.

Wiredgeorge, You didn't mention if the tire that split was a factory tire or not.

I made an unexpected stop to a Honda dealer just west of Atlanta with a rear tire that had a chunk of rubber missing (on 2 wheels then). The service dept. had a sign that said there will be a $35 charge to clean up the rim if there is any type of tire goop in there. Of course it would be worth $35 to temp. fix the tire and not have to call a tow truck.

They obviously never changed a tire w/RideOn properly installed:NoJoke: I've had several tires containing RideOn changed out by the same business that told me they had their machine coated with that green crap once.
Told them RideOn isn't green and I'll do the clean up if any gets on your machine.
That shop now sells RideOn!!
RideOn is not a temp fix either!!! As long as the puncture is withing the size RideOn protects, pull the offending item out and keep riding :clapping:
