Dang! I've said before that my next trike may well be a V-rod/Motortrike. Wish you had posted a picture, Greydog!
I went over to my Harley dealer yesterday just to get out of the house for a while. I went into the back showroom and there sat a brand spanking new '08 VRSC with a Motor Trike conversion. Really great looking Trike and the price was $22,000.00. I think that's a great price considering the V-Rod is a new un-titled '08 with only 10 miles on the speedo!! It's at Baxter's Harley Davidson in Gallipolis, Ohio if anyone is interested.

Call Ben!!! They're open today!! It was either black or dark blue but the lines of a V-Rod matched to a trike are really great. Sort of has a Chopper look mated to a cruiser.
You and me both Nana! Those V-Rod/Motortrikes are cool! I don't think I could go for a 2 wheel V-Rod, but a Triked V-Rod, YES

I also don't like the 2-wheel version, but your description is right on when it comes to the triked one, Greydog. I found a little pic of it on Ben's web page. Black and Orange.
UB, Ben (Baxter's HD) is also who built my Fat Boy trike, so I know him and his shop. Haven't run into Greydog there yet, unfortunately, but it's bound to happen sooner or later.

OK, I got it now... I've never been to that dealership B-4, but my brother-in-laws brother (weird) owns Century Harley in Medina, and tells me that they were just about giving V-Rods away. My nephew got a YELLOW one there before he went into the Army, and just sold it (without telling me!) for "next to nothing" before he went to Germany. Missed the boat on that one! Would have been a great project for 'Adventure North.'

A V-Rod trike is an interesting combination.

Sunflower Yellow with a black frame what more would you want?
I wonder why they have it listed as pre-owned?
Yellow? You mean like this? This one was on eBay for 17K and did not sell. It's an '06. "If ya can't sell it, TRIKE it!"

The yellow trike is still for sale although not on ebay. I think it is in arkansas.
It's on eBay again.......

He has a make an offer button.
What are the opinions that the VRod would make a good trike? I mean it isn't a touring frame so would it be comfortable on trips? I think the fact that it is a water cooled engine is great, I am just not sure about the handling. The amount of trunk space looks more limited when compared to a tri glide I wonder just how much space there is?

I test rode a V-rod several times, and I found it to be very comfortable, with a natural seating position, comfortable bars and foot locations. I compare the ride somewhere between a softail and a dyna, but tighter, very sporty. These were two wheelers, so I can't say anything about how addition of a trike kit would affect ride and comfort on the long haul. I'm 6'-3" and did not feel cramped as I do on other sport bikes and crotch rockets, which the V-rod is not. Plenty of power, but you gotta get the R's up there, as this motor is designed for that type of operation. Very smooth even banging the gears at 8500 rpm. Trunk space is not advertized, but I would think it's similar to the Dyna and Super Sport kits, which are 3.2 cu. ft. The M/T V-rod trike kit list price is 8195, which includes the (required) aftermarket exhaust. Add basic one color paint and installation, and you are looking at 10K plus the cost of the donor bike. Shopping wisely, a good used V-rod can be had for 6 to 7.5K, so I believe this particular yellow one is priced at or near the top of what it's worth.

Ultraboy this is great info. I was thinking this may not be as comfortable as the touring bikes but you dispelled that. Putting a touring seat on this with a backrest should make the ride even better. I am thinking the difference in trunk space could be offset by a luggage rack? I think too that the seller had this in e bay once before and didn't have any bidders. If Nana did choose to make an offer she could do well with the make an offer button. I just think that the advantages of it being water cooled is much better than the heat problems with the tri glide for instance. Dual Brembo brakes in front are a nice Touch.
Besides all of this it is YELLOW.
It just sunk in that this MT kit included the aftermarket exhaust in that price. Thinking about the super sport kit you had to buy those extra.
