Alternative to sturgis

I know Cheyenne gets busy later but I had a rough night and couldn't get back on the trike. This Parkensons kicks my A$$ sometimes in the mornings.

If your talking the Cheyenne Frontier Days, it is the last full week of July.
This year its actually kind of early. It is July 17th through the 26th.

That, I believe, is due to the 1st of August being on a Saturday.

Needless to say, if your attending this meet in Deadwood and riding through the Cheyenne area ya might as well not figure on getting a room in Cheyenne. They will be booked solid and if there is one available it will be insanely priced.

If your coming from the southern US and riding up I25 your best bet would be to figure a stop in Fort Collins Colorado. That would basically put ya 400 miles south of Deadwood and leaving in the morning would still put you in the Black Hills in the afternoon.

My wife spoke with Theresa at First Gold, as of today there are 124 folks registered from 19 states and Canada. Looks like it's shaping up to be a fairly large Trike event.

There are still motel rooms at First Gold as well as across the town. At First Gold they run $119 a night Sunday through Thursday and $149 on the weekend. There is a block of room under Three wheel Rally. Call the reservation desk at 800-274-1876 ext. 1000. BTW members get a better rate that averages $86 a night plus tax and fees because they are running the show n shine.
If you want a one stop way to find rooms call 866-601-5103. It is the number for the Black Hills Central Reservations. They work with most properties and campgrounds in Deadwood and the Black Hills Area.
We are not pushing the casinos - in fact I have put together 101 things to do while you are in Deadwood and I don't think any of them have to do with gambling.
Registration for the D3WR event is $20 before June 1st and $25 after that. T-shirts are $15 if you want one. There will be a patch and pin in your swag bag and a coupon book that will provide a ton of savings while you are here.

With BRP picking us up as one of their 2015 events, they are hosting the Friday night supper and your Thursday night supper is part of the registration. If you ride a Spyder you also get a free breakfast on Saturday. Things are coming together fast here...should be a great rally. If you have questions email me at teresas@firstgold.com
I don't get on the forums much but always happy to answer your questions.

I am thinking about going from the oly area.
start at hells canyon, to Yellowstone, big horn mts, deadwood, star days in Colorado
and then home someway. that is if my stead will get it problems fixed.
