Ok, so size matters

I did some shopping today, looking at trikes and discovered a problem. I am 6'4" and evenly proportioned as far as my torso and legs go. I sat on an HD Ultra conversion, and it was very uncomfortable. the floorboards sere set up too close and my legs were cramped.

So, I went to the HD dealer and sat on several models, and the only one that worked for me was a Fat Bob. I tried on a Can Am Spyder and it definitely did not fit. I am a 52 long and the Spyder was a 44 short.

Any suggestions on other bike mfgrs with a longer stride?

I found the Spyder to be short in leg room also when I went to the dealer. The GW was comfortable when I sat on it I just couldn't stretch out my legs. There are extensions to move the foot controls more forward. The important thing is to find a trike you like first. My inseam is a 31, Good luck on your search.

I am 6'4" and 360...Harley Ultra 2008 Roadsmith Converstion...I added a Tall Boy Seat, $240, moved the floor boards forward, $79, moved the Tour Pack back with George Andersons relocation kit, $80, mini apes, about $750 and it fits like a dream. Used to ride GL1800, no way could you do those types of mods to fit. Talk to your dealer about what can be done to make the bike fit you. You won't be disappointed!

The Harley Tax at it's best.

I've got several friends that ride Ultra's. Several of them are 6'4" or over. I'm short so I need all the protection I can afford.

They have asked Allen @ Mean City Cycles Custom Seat Modifications to modify their seat for them. He will also make the seat more comfortable. Added floorboard extensions, adjusted handlebars, pushed back the tourpac, added Hwy pegs so they could stretch out.

Just a bunch of ways to do this.

I am only 5'10 so not much of an issue for me i guess. Just returned from a 3 month vacation and picked up a new Honda vtx 1800F with a Champion trike convertion. My son (6.2) and two of his Buddies (6' plus) both rode the trike yesterday and had nothing but praise for it, and they ride Harley Electra glides (not trikes)
