Installed the lowers, highway pegs and TomTom Rider this morning. One thing left and that is the heat deflectors. They are at the painters having a bit of art put on them. Hope to have them back before I leave for my trip next week.

Ahhhh ... my bad ... I wonder if my telescoping cane will mount there ... I usually put it on the tour pak rack ... but it's such a pain ... I gotta wrap it in a towel so the aluminum doesn't scratch the chrome.
I installed Hog Troughs on the lowers. The Cane holder mounts under the water bottle holder.

We are all a bunch of old gimps. My cane is in the trunk I usually park next to wife's Tri-Glide to give myself a grab handle to help getting off my scoot. Old age is the shitts!

I have a buddy that lays his cane across the handlebars. Uses those short little ball end bunges to hold it is place.

I'm thinking rifle scabbard strapped along the forks if I ever get bad enough to need a cane again...
Yes, just like those. Thank you.
Recently I ordered a spare cover for the left side and I figured I would try to mount a conventional bicycle water bottle holder to the cover. IF I messed it up or IF a full bottle was too heavy for the cover to stay in place I was only out $14.00 and still have the stock cover. But after looking at Hog Troughs (thanks to the link that you provided) I now know it can be done, and a locking cover would ensure it would stay in place with a full bottle.
Right now I have a water bottle cage mounted to the left side cover and I can easily reach back and grab it even while riding. But having up front would be safer.
As for canes. IBefore I got my hip(s) replaced I could not swing a leg over a motorcycle or even a Trike, and had used a trecking pole to get around with. Since I have had the Trike I have contemplated the possibility that I may need to use a cane at some point in the future. I found that one would fit along the side on top of the trunk, and could be held in place with a simple spring clip. The hardest part would be drilling the hole through the top of the trunk.

To the OP, are the lowers HD or after market?
I use my brace most of the time instead of the cane. If I think i will need it I put it in the trunk.
My brace usually is good enough most of the time. Im suppose to wear it all the time but I buck.
