Water Bottle Mount

I need some ideas on where to mount a water bottle holder. I don't want to use the ones that mount on the handlebars. I loved the leather ones that mounted to the gaurds around my saddlebags on my ultra, but that won't work on my trike. Any and all ideas?

I saw some on eBay that fit on the lower cover ... did a quick check but didn't see them this morning ... I'm sure they are there ... just didn't have time to really search hard ... they basically bolted to the lower and held a bottle or any travel size mug kinda thing ... they had two kinds ... one that swivels and one that didn't ... don't think the trike would need the swivel thing unless your doing the Indonesia trike tricks ... LOL ... If I get time later I'll look again and try to post a link.

Found several leather cup holders on Ebay. I think they look like something that came out of a XXX porn movie. I did find one cup holder from Ram that should be easy to locate anywhere you can use a Ram accessory mount.

On our 2010 I use a Hogtrough. It has served me well. As a long distance bicycle rider, I have used Camelbaks. They can hold up to 100 ounces of liquid.

Well for me, I carry a small cooler in the Tourpak. I find it safer to just pull over, take a break and pull out a Ice Cold Drink.

I think these are the ones I saw ... But on eBay it may be a cheap knock off.

This is what I did to carry a water bottle.

It is a cheap $4.95 bicycle water bottle cage that I got from Walmart. I had to drill two holes in the left side cover but it is out of the way and easy to reach while stopped at a light or when I get off the bike, and not in the way of a passengers foot. It will hold any number of different bottles from insulated bottles plane old bottles of water in a kozzie.

I haven't tried an insulated bottle yet, but yes on a warm day an un-insulated bottle of water does get warm. I/we can also carry an ice chest with cool refreshment in the bottom box but my arms are not long enough to reach it while riding

I'm sure it would keep coffee hot if that is what your were looking to do.

For us we just stop and enjoy the time off the road, we are not in that much of a hurry to clutter old shiney with that sort of thing. Stop and enjoy the time out on your rides. ride safely fearless
