Need help finding an obsolete Harley part?

I am in need of an obsolete idle control cable (1989 Harley tour glide ultra part# 56351-89A)

This particular cable has a cruise control cut out switch on it.

Have you tried the dealer ... my parts gal found lots of stuff through their network ... but I wasn't looking for anything that old

thank you very much zammy i shot them an e-mail tonight.
I will try to put my hands on the 3 cables involved with the throttle if i can get them but the idle cable was the necessity.

it only lasted 26 yrs. cheap junk anyway!

It gets increasingly difficult to put my hands on parts these days.
It's amazing how fast technology changes?

Try Barnett and see if they will make you the cable..I have had cables made by them in the past..

do any of you know how to get the actual specs. on that cable without sending in to Barnett? the switch # and its placement on the length of the cable?

I would contact Barnett as they could tell you how to measure. I may direct you the wrong way and I don't want to do that..

have put your request on a harley forum in Australia will let you know what i find out.. one person suggested before that there are companies in holand that will act as a local address then forward your parcel to you..
