I plan to soon be removing the old differential gear oil from my RSV and replacing it with a 80/90 Synthetic as recommend by Hannigan and I know the old stuff has to be removed by siphoning hose from the top of the Ford Thunderbird rear end. I plan on using my hand held siphoning pump and this will be my first time in its removal, any do's or don't ? I'm sure it's a messy little job but it seems to be fairly straight forward. Or do you suggest having it done at a lubricating type shop!? Just looking for some pros and cons..
