No spare?
2014 Triglide - Cayenne Sunglow & Black
Nice trailer Fuzzy.
But c'mon man...it's not the destination, it's the ride there and back.
Jerry
I converted my old boat trailer for two reasons
1: I need a trailer to haul stuff to the dump.
2: I can't imagine not riding for a whole winter ... and we can get some bad ones here ... the plan is to put a set of skis on the front of the truck ... trike on the trailer in the back ... and head south until someone asks me "what's that on the front of the truck?" ... get a hotel ... and just ride for a week or two ...
Fuzzy I don't see any tie downs, you using any?
Part of what is left to be done ... I will mount two, one on each side near the front ... planning on going from the Harley links on the axle to these tydowns ... the pit stop manufacturers say that's all that's needed, two to keep it in the chock ... I also will use a strap through the front wheel around the front support of the pitstop. Also will run from the link to the rear corners, there are holes thee for a strap.
It will be in gear with the p brake on ... aside from that .. I've got some heater hose I'll slide over the antennas and tie to the ramp to keep them from getting scraped up ... all this assuming winter gets so bad I can't ride it south and my cabin fever/riding withdrawal gets the best of me.
it might be easier to just unscrew the antennas. Keep in mind which one goes where.
What are you gonna use for rock guard Fuzz? Aluminum Diamond plate would look nice.

Just mark them left and right with a piece of tape before you take them off. Once off they are near impossible to tell. Everyone I've asked says they are marked. I must be blind cause I couldn't find one darn marking. Specifically I was looking for CB since that's the important one. I replaced my whips with short ones and even though I purchased a FM and a CB, when I pulled them out from the packaging, I could not find one darn mark indicating which was which except for model number which would have been worthless if I didn't have my purchase order or the packaging. Mark them first. If you want to know which one is the CB, if I remember correctly it's the one on the right. But you can be sure by taking the liner out. The one that attaches to the steel plate is the CB.
The only reason some people are still alive is it's illegal to shoot them.

the antennas I bought are marked at the base. Not easy to see on mine but they are there.

Looking good!
I dont know what new diamond plate runs, but where I used to live I had a friend with a scrap metal business that sold me random metal pieces I needed at a real good price. I got some deals on diamond plate.
