Good evening
I have a question about how the float pins on the rotors are configured
should they be float pin with 2 spring washers then pushed through hole
and then washer and c-clip, or should they be float pin pushed through
hole and then 2 spring washers and washer and c-clip. I was driving
around a parking lot when I heard a pop from the front end.
went and did my shopping and came out and drove away hearing
another pop so I slowly drove home and checked out the front end
and found one of the float pins had broken and then just fell out
:xzqxz:. what exactly is the right config for the float pins.
Thanx

Front Rotors:

The 2 spring clips go on the same side as the "C" clip. You should be able to look at one of the others and see the config.

all my pins have the float pin 2 spring washers and then
put through hole and flat washer with c-clip. I have also been
having problems with the rotors overheating maybe this is the problem.
Thanx

Brake rotors:

You might call Richard at TMS and ask him. A few years ago I had to swap over my rotors to new hubs. I put it back like it came from the factory and that was per my last post. I don't remember a flat washer in the mix, maybe their was. Hope you get it sorted out.

I took your advise and changed my pins configuration yesterday
and will take a ride today to see how it changed. I will still give
Richard a call on Monday

Hello
I talked to Richard and the config is to put the float pins through,
and then on the inside of hub goes 2 spring washers and then a
flat washer followed by c-clip. this seams to have solved my overheating
of the front rotors but in the next 300 miles I broke another float pin.
has anyone had a problem with breaking float pins. when I got the
bike there was a bag of new float pins and accy. now I wonder if
that was a hint check float pins all time:AGGHH:
