I just purchased a 2008 Honda Goldwing with the Hannigan Conversion. It has 13,600 miles since new and started its life as a Hannigan trike at the Hannigan factory. It was owned by an individual in Nashville Tennessee. When I checked the brakes for wear I was surprised to find that the L/H inboard pad was worn to the max limits with 1 mm remaining and the outboard had 2 mm remaining with 1mm remaining in the wear slot. The R/H inboard and outboard pads had 2-1/2 mm total and 1-1/2 mm remaining in the wear slot. New Honda OEM pads have a total of 4 mm pad thickness and 3 mm depth in the wear slot. Measurements could vary minimally but not much since I was using a 6 inch steel metric ruler. I replaced the pads with Honda OEM pads and install Speed Bleeders on all seven bleed ports. Speed Bleeders are the way to go. They made bleeding the brakes a very simple task. I am not familiar with Honda as all my 24 years mechanical experience has been Harley but I really like the Honda and especially the Hannigan conversion.
