Guys how do the brand "Motor Trike" conversions hold up and is there anything I should know about one?

I have a MotorTrike Kit. I love it. They will take care of any problems you might have.
A lot depends on the shop installing the kit. With that said, 60k miles on my MotortrikeTrog kit.

Long time company with a great customer service reputation. But as mentioned the installer is the real person you have to make sure knows what they are doing. Any great conversion can be a real headache if not install correctly.

I've read the drive shaft has to be dropped for regular spline maintenance, maybe a Motor Trike owner will confirm.
Drive shafts have been a issue with Motor Trike. They will guarantee to 2 nd owner but not labor to install. sounds like a good company to me.

We had a GL1800 with Motortrike Adventure conversion. To get to grease fitting in the front driveshaft yoke you have to pull the driveshaft. I tried different grease fittings, flexible hoses on the grease gun but the angle of the driveshaft would not allow me to get the grease gun on the fitting. Was not that big of an issue to pull the shaft every 5,000 miles. Getting to the rear yoke grease fitting was no problem. I could pull the shaft, grease it and reinstall in about 15 minutes. The only thing you have to be careful of is to time the draft shaft correctly when reinstalling or you could get a vibration. This is explained in the Motortrike service manual. My experience overall with Motortrike was positive. As others said the installer is key.

Ditto on the installer. No problems with my Razor.

The original owner had the conversion done at the Motor Trike factory in Troup TX. I do not know if this a good thing or if some of their other dealers do better installs.
I am really excited about this trike and look forward to learning about the do's and don'ts about riding a trike.
Do you guys know if there are any good books on riding a trike? I just sold my RG CVO so I know how ride a motorcycle, but have spent less than 30 minutes on a trike.
My first mods are going to be wheels...these are butt ugly
Motortrike kits are as good as any. I have a Trog (straight Axle) with 42,000 miles on a
Screaming Eagle Ultra. I agree, the installer is the key. Lots of shade tree operations out there claming to be trike converters. I did have to have my air bags replaced a few miles ago due to the inflate switch fault. Kept filling until blatters could not accommodate. Did not notice spring loaded switch had stuck in the fill position due to exhaust noise. Outside of that, very pleased.

To answer your initial post....I have a MotorTrike conversion on my Road King. The components used are first rate ( Ford brake calipers, AirLift compressor and bags for IRS, and stainless steel lines ). Large CVO joints (Ford sourced, according to my installer). Very nice welds throughout. All powder coated chassis. Heavy fiberglass body. Very happy here.
