SE tuner questions

Finally got that new map loaded. Went for a small ride about 30 minutes, with the data recording. Ran great, hardly a hiccup or backfire. Got about a 30 min data run for the first run.
That first version of the map worked good. I was trying to do the consistent throttle for the data but it was tough. The bike was strong. I was able to ride alittle after the initial data record finished and got some great torque. Even hit the highway for a small run and was impressed, that i didnt get any pops or misfires. Even decel didnt give any popping. This map is very close.
Loaded the new data in the map and loaded it up when i got home. Havent had a chance to do another data run. Excited to see after this data was loaded how it performs. I think we have a winner with this map as a starter. :clapping:
Wish I had a dyno close, would love to see the numbers this is putting out.

Thanks again msocko

Nice:pepper:. I love it when a plan comes together. Sometime down the road if you happen to see Wiz hanging around thank him also, I got the TTS map from him so I could make the SEPST map for guys.

Are you installing the TTS-100 cams? The map I provided for those guys is for the TTS-100 cams. If all your doing is the stage 1, all you have to do is upload the stage 1 map and smart tune it from there.

Definitely will thank wizard, and also thank him for the cam post. Talk about a difference wow.

OK, Vicki at TTS called yesterday and told me they are just about ready to ship the next batch of TTS-100 cams out. Should be getting one just before the July 4th Holiday. :pepper::pepper::pepper:

So now, I will have the SE Super Tuner, CAMs and the Map! (refer to post #37) - I will go talk to the Folks at Roeders again and after the 4th and get my Freewheeler upgrade and tuned......

Nice, you'll have to let us know how it all turns out.

Looks like I spoke too quick. Took a three hour trip. Bike was sputtering and popping when I first started out in the morning. It seems like I had to blip the throttle to keep it from stalling. Seemed to be running hot right away. Once on the g highway we did about 75-80 and it was ok unless I tried to go wide open throttle then it would sputter a bit. I got 35mpg on the way there.

Ive got a big trip planned for July and can't have it running*
this way .

My plan is gonna have to be get it to a dyno I think. Or
Another thing I wss thinking is go with the tts tuner and the map that was made for it.
Not sure what way to go, but its getting embarrassing all the sputtering and backfiring I'm getting while trying too ride.

The closest dyno is almost 1 1/2 hours away so I would have to drop it and leave it I'm sure.

Amy opinion on which way to go with this.
Hate for the dyno guy to start and say he can't get a tune because there is no map for the tts-100

Went ahead and gave the Harley dealer a call turns out they're open on Sunday.they can get me in next weekend Dyno he told me will be 240 total no matter how long it takes. I'm afraid this may take long.they said it shouldn't matter what kind of cam is in there, but they did request some sort of specs like the lift.

Gonna go ahead and give it a try.*
Any idea where I could get maybe some specs,I know they haven't been posted but I'd like to give them some sort of reference. TTS said it was comparable to a se255, but that map got me nowhere before.

The trouble you are having is exactly the reason I ask for the cam specs early on (when the MAGIC CAM) was introduced and was told they are not publishing the specs!! Funny, I think when one is designing a build that the cam specs are a very important part of the design information. I still find it strange after this long that TTS still will not provide the specs for their product. Good luck with that!!

Lets see if this turns out, here are the specs on the cam in txt format. They should be able to tune it without a problem, its odd how it was running better, and now its not, makes me wonder if something else is going on.

Thanks for the info! I will pass it on to the folks at Roeders when I get mine done.....
(I have to admit that the fact that they would not publish specs has left me wondering some as well. But, I think the folks at Roeders can work with just about anything and as long as I make an effort to get them all the info I can; they can and will make it happen.

This is great. I'll print it out and bring it with.*
Yea I've been wondering about the something else, I do know it was very hot this past weekend. I'm hoping they will get this right. And if it's something else it will pop up..
I too was curious on the specs, but I'm hoping this will help them dyno this right.

Taking it in this weekend, hoping for the best.

Thanks for the Cam Spec info Mike, been curious for some time!! Most certainly would not work with my build, or any other build with a compression upgrade (as I see it anyway!!), but should be a low end grunt cam for stock motors that only want to do a cam change.

Thanks again, Roger

Just for general knowledge and not to get into a pi$$ing match with anyone. Those specifications are incorrect and we have told people that already. The person who did them did so at home with home made equipment that leaves plenty on the table as being accurate enough for the job and at best it will give you a general idea, but that's all they are good for.

No, we will not give the real numbers out and we have very good reasons why. The camshaft design is done as a stock engine replacement using all your stock components over again. Testing has been done with very good outcomes on 103 - 113 cu in engines with measured 9.7 - 10.2 compression ratio's and ported cylinder heads. Our recommended compression ratio range is 9.5 - 10.0 :1.

A typical install into a stock103 engine with Air Cleaner and exhaust modified will get you 98 ft lbs @ 2000 RPM 112 ft lbs @ 3800 RPM and a peak Hp @ 93Hp 5250 RPM. A 110 engine moves those numbers to 106 Ft lbs at 2000 RPM 117 @ 3800 and 100 HP @ 5200 RPM.

Hope this information helps those of you that wanted to know from the horses mouth.

Ok so why can't I tune the damn thing then. I installed this cam thinking it would improve my trike. I've ran numerous running runs and it runs like crap.

I've got a kn air filter and Vance and Hines pipes and a screaming eagle tuner that came with my trike. Nothing more.
Was told this would work. I'm hoping this 250 dollar dyno run will work to get it running right.Ran great until the cam was installed. And now I can't get some simple specs that Harley can use to tune.
Would have installed a se cam if I knew it was gonna cost me all this time and money.

There is nothing special when it comes to tuneing the TTS 100 camshaft in a HD bike engine if the tuner is doing there job. So with that said, who and where is your tuning being done and maybe we can help you solve what someone is doing wrong? I do not want anyone spending there dollars and not getting what you need but I cannot help it if the tuner person isn't doing there job correctly. We will help if asked.

I cannot tell someone how to operate there software but I can give them where and what to look for to get a proper tuneup going.
