Playing with Lights... Round one

Got me the XKglow kit installed finally... Green is just default, other colors adjustable with the app. I think round two will need a couple more pods under the fenders. First shot is Daytime normal... second shot is nighttime normal... third shot is the second one enhanced to see more detail in the bike.

Looks good. I've seen a lot of trikes and 2 wheelers with underglow multi color lighting. Use it sparingly though. The novelty can wear off if they are on all the time.

Well, I have the "Flames" Stinger sticks and it makes my engine chrome "Twinkle".......

I also used Red stingers on the rear body to engage when I hit the brakes...makes the entire ass of the Freewheeler glow red....I just need a recorder to play...."CAN YOU SEE ME NOW!" ....best third brake light I ever had....

Yes, the kit comes with a wifi router type unit. the little grey box, when powered up, transmits a low range wifi signal, that my iPhone attaches to (keeps it wireless)... from the free app, I can change the colors, strobes, breath, and link in my iTunes, and have the music fluctuate in solid or multi color, to my music. I'm very impressed with the product, and it turns a lot of heads!!

Well, I have had several compliments on my "Third-Brake Light Setup", even by Police, Sheriff, and Highway Patrol Officers here in Ohio.

But, I have a switch to turn it off if I have too....

I'm with you ... the more your noticed, the safer you are. I once got a warning ticket for a ring of fire in Colorado ... had to change the color to amber, was red.

As I stated before, my "Third Brake Light" effect makes the rear body of my Freewheeler seem to glow red, but the LEDs can not be directly seen. But, there are quite a few of them used for the effect - over 400 in fact.

Those LEDs are engaged by a relay that is triggered by the brake light circuit.

I did not mod the stock wiring harness, I installed a "insert" that installed between the main harness and the rear tail harness that allows for all my electrical mods - take it out and the harness is completely stock - good for troubleshooting and repair.

I have the harley davidson brand led tail light replacements with smoke lenses. But they keep filing with water and corrosion destroys them. I'm at 12k miles now and on my 3rd set. Is anyone else having this problem? The only way I can tell water might me coming from us by the main wire before the circuit board. I filed in the nearly 1" gap around the wire with silicone with hopes this will save the 3rd set because the dealer is trying to claim user abuse, I guess they think I'm trying to get myself tickets?

I am on my 3rd set as well. Only I have the red.... there had to have been a cup of water in one of the lights. I think it is a bad design on these things I have not seen the stock lights have this issue. If they do it again I am switching to bright ass lights.

I had water in my LED lights also. The service writer told me to stop going to the car wash or using a pressure washer which I have never done.

At that time I had less than 2,000 miles on my Freewheeler but I did get caught out on the road in 2 rainstorms, one was a major downpour and we had lots of standing water already. I don't think it is abuse to ride when the chance of rain is only 50%.

You need a new service writer.... mine never mentioned it. Just that he would make it right.
