Escapade LE trailer - installing mud flaps

Good morning,

Getting ready to install mud flaps on my trailer and was wondering if anyone else had already added the flaps to theirs. Any guidance suggestions in doing so would be greatly appreciated.

I found what I was looking. They are riveted on the trailer.

Good morning RR,
Since I was not able to locate any installation instructions, I was able to find was a photo of the mud flap showing that it was riveted. (not bolted) I will cautiously select the location of the 2 drilled holes. Will use a toothpick size drill bit to determine the space dimension

of the gap between the inner and outer shell. From this I will select a pop rivet that will fit. Will let you know what I discover when I start on the project. Just now starting on installing my diy mudflaps on my Roadsmith.

I found these same pics last night while reading a post about someone's jack. I will install my homemade flaps almost the same way but without the welded tabs. Going to use box alum., or steel, and mount them to the bottom of the trunk. Will add a strip inside the trunk to help solidify the 4 bolt heads that I plan on using. Gotta love the equipment that this person has for his trike.

Trailer mud flaps installed.
As previously mentioned, I selected two places to drill a very small hole to determine the distance between the inner and outer shells of the trailer compartment. Being very careful not to drill through the inner shell. Drillled two 13/64" holes and used 3/16" x 3/4" rivets. Used 1/4" tractor trailer mud guards/flaps and cut them to fit to my satisfaction. I think that they look great and after 200 miles I find no problem with them.
Have also just finished adding flaps to the trike.

Used al. angle mounted to the bottom of the trunk and added a strip of al. inside the trunk to add additional support. The flaps are made from the same material as those on the trailer. I made them larger to protect the underside of the trike and also the trailer. Also over 200 miles on them and I am very pleased with the results. Might not be a pretty as the OEM's but they shall suit my needs just fine.
