PiggyBacker XL Owners........

I know there are a few of you that own these. I'm real close to ordering one. Like that it has independent Torsion axles, 12" wheel/tire, Cooler Basket, Spare Tire, LED Tail Lights, Folding Tongue Stand, Chrome Bumper and Alloy Wheels I could do without the Swivel Coupler. But it comes with it.

For those that own them or have owned them. Why shouldn't I buy one?

Nice trailer. But I'm not wanting to spend anywhere near that amount on one! Piggy Backer is $950 new. I can get a new Aluma MCT for $1650 which is just over what I want to spend. Looking at a used Aluma on CL. Just waiting for the seller to contact me.

Not knocking the Piggybacker, but the Aluma is the better of the two though it does cost more. Everything they make is top shelf.

I've got a 2008 Piggy. It's not the XL but it's a Piggybacker anyway. The only thing I've done to it is adding carpet to the inside and led lights on top as well as an additional led brake light. It's a base trailer but it looks pretty good and trails like a dream. Never had one problem with it.

Ive a 2009 Piggy XL with around 9000 miles on it. Basically carpeted the inside and put a foam seal between the top and bottom of the carrier and have had no issues whatsoever. Definitely one of the smarter purchases Ive made.

I called yesterday morning wanting to talk to them about shipping etc. Left my name and number. No one called back. Called again this morning. Left name and number again. Received a call from someone that couldn't answer any questions. She had someone else call me. He informed me that they don't have any tires/rims in stock so they can't ship. Might be able to in three weeks, but not sure.

Question. Are the rims the standard bolt pattern? Or do they have a special bolt pattern? Plain old white steel rims would be fine with me.

I've owned an MCT in the past. They are built like a tank. No way to wear one out.

You can't go wrong with the Aluma MCT.
I've had mine for about 9 years now and many thousands of miles with zero issues. It's probably the best trailer value out there. Sure you can spend alot more and get a better looking trailer with more bells and wistles but I don't believe you'll get a better trailer.

I tend to agree with that. I've always said that the Aluma will outlive most owners.
