Motor trike and fork extenders.

I am considering replacing the front fork springs with Traxxion springs.
On researching the web I have come across a number of trike owners who have had fork extenders on the forks. I haven't heard of these and am wondering if any Motor trike, Adventure kit, owners have done this, and whether it has improved handling. After learning about this extension I did noticed that my trike does seem to be a little low on the front.

It seems they put extenders on the kits when they build them or if the rake kit was supplied. Unfortunately the extenders didn't come with the kit we purchased so am now awaiting the result of my enquires to them.

It is not imperative that the fork extensions be there, but it is recommended because it keeps the front end at the same level as stock. Rake kits normally include the fork extensions with them, so Im not sure why yours did not. If you are adding traxxion springs, then certainly now would be the time to add the fork extensions while you have the front end apart.

Thank,s Bazooka. Still awaiting a reply from motor trike as no extenders were supplied with the rake kit when the trike kit was purchased . I will certainly include the extenders if the springs are changed.

Hi Bazooka. Still nothing from motor trike. I am in fact completely in the dark concerning exactly what the fork extenders look like or where/ how they are fitted. Could you enlighten me on this?

Stock fork caps (left) vs fork extensions (right). They are machined from billet stainless steel and screw into the top of the forks, replacing the caps. (note: I got these photos off Google images. These extensions appear to be made of aluminum. Some companies do use aluminum for their extensions, mine are made from stainless)

Dang Randy --- YOU DID GOOD !!!!! It's nice to have examples instead of trying to just explain something. Way to go my friend!

I purchased Zooks Rake kit and installed it without the extensions that came with it. The installer said he didn't think the brake lines would be long enough. After dragging the bottom several time I installed them myself. No more dragging problems. The brake lines are long enough. I also installed handle bar risers with no problem. To complete the front end mod I also installed Mich pilot activ rear tire mounted reversed and a Super Brace. I am a happy Triker.

Thank you Bazooka I really appreciated your help . M/T did get back to me and it seems the extenders were supplied and fitted . Now knowing what I am looking for I can confirm that they are fitted.
Motor trike are very good at answering enquiries and very helpful.
The photos proved useful in that I could identify the top of the fork with the machined nut .
