The each have 2 holes drilled into steel but nothing into the fiberglass of the fender.

Any ideas of where the attaching points are?
George, I believe you have a Motortrike and not a Lehman.

The bracket looks to have been added later and not original.

In the early 1990's Lehman and Motortrike aesthetically had similar body designs.

The links that connect the rear axle to the motorcycle are typically Motortrike.

    Default Light Bar Grills

I have contacted Lehman and have been told they no longer carry these. They are chrome grills that cover the lens on the Monarch II rear light bar. I need one set which I believe they came in sets of two. Some how one of mine got broken

If anyone knows where I can buy them, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wayne, All sources have been exhausted and they have been discontinued for several years now. I have a set (contains left and right chromed grill) I will sell for $20.00.

Default TBM Disc Brake Caliper upgrade

I just put my hands on a limited amount of disc brake calipers that can replace the old TBM calipers that are no longer supported by TBM and the soon-to-be-obsolete disc brake pads that they use.

These calipers are fully loaded and virtually are bolt-on replacements that I am changing the pistons on. The pair are just about as expensive as 1 TBM caliper and must be used in pairs.

The Wilwood disc brake pad is not as dusty or as abrasive as the TBM pads were so you should get better life from the rotors too.

    Attachment 62752

The TBM disc brake system was used from 1996-2005 on Lehman Harley-Davidson models before they used select Wilwood brake systems. The TBM calipers were used in conjunction with the LR1013 rotor and a spot parking brake caliper. The Wilwood is a bolt-on direct replacement and you can still maintain your spot parking brake caliper too.

We are rapidly closing in on Winter and putting our Trikes away for the season in most of the US.

Due to numerous requests and persistence to manufacturers, I have gathered some items that were, until now, unavailable to me or other Lehman Trike Owners.

LS0626 Auxiliary Shock Absorber for Lehman Monarch II Straight Axle 2004 - 2012

    https://mjtrikes.com/shop/index.php?...2e5f0a26e30c23

GB1099 Parking Brake Lever used on Lehman Trikes after 2003 to current. I have 10 of these on order from the original manufacturer and should be seeing them in December 2018. Information for the lever is not yet up on my website until I have the parts in hand.

    Justin,

I just discovered your post, must have missed it earlier.

I am pretty sure it is covered in this section of the forum, but I will try to explain what you asking and will provide you with some helpful tips.

The rear axle used on the Lehman Trikes with shaft drive since 2001 have been a recreation of the 1972-1978 Ford Pinto.

Lehman had these axles manufactured overseas to those specifications. Lehman also had a specific gear set manufactured as well. Since Lehman changed hands and now Champion Trikes has substituted their own rear axles to Lehman Trikes manufactured after 2013.

Since 2013, the gear set began to dwindle and there are no new gear sets available.

I am working feverishly to find suitable gear ratios in used parts.

I have exhausted all existing NOS gear parts in the US.

Ironically, very few bearings and seals are available in Canada where Lehman originated.

These bearings, seals and brake parts can still be obtained from jobbers in the US, but are somewhat limited in supply.

I try to keep wear items in stock for Lehman owners.

The one single overlooked service item is gear oil.

If you develop a leak in the rear axle, keep the fluid level in check until the leak can be fixed.

Occasionally the rear brakes need adjusting (5-10K).

The u-joint needs grease every 5K with an oil change.

Rear tire pressure should be 20psi.

    I hope this helps.

    Default question for Jim Murphy

Jim, I have a 2010 Monarch II , 25th anniversary model. As I understand, it has drum brakes . Do you have any idea what these brakes are? I am assuming they are on off the shelf for some particular vehicle.

    Have you looked?

Easy to see through wheel openings between spokes unless wheel centers are solid.

Likely 9" diameter Ford as used on many Ford autos and small PUs over wide range of years. Most of the stuff like shoes, springs, adjusters, hold down hardware, are the same but there are several different wheel cylinder sizes available (I can't tell you what size WCs yours are, but I could tell you mine). Drums have either 4 or 5 lug holes depending on if used in Pinto or Granada or Ranger PU or etc. I expect yours are 4 lug, like Pintos, Mustang-IIs, '80's T-birds, etc.

Jim will be along soon but I wasn't sure if you needed the info faster?

First off, thanks for all the info. I am temporarily handicapped and not supposed to be walking. I did hobble out to the garage to try to find out what I have . It's a 4 bolt wheel and it does after all have disc brakes. I don't need them, right now as the trike combo only has 6000 total miles on it. But trying to build a data base for what I will likely need some day. It's shame that the trike manufacturer doesn't provide that info. Every single trike out there is going to need parts of some type someday. BTW, that hubcap is quite a deal to get off. Looks like I'll need special tools on board to get it off if I'm on the road somewhere.

Understand all too well then hobbling. Jim should be abler to help on disc brake parts. I was lucky when bought our trike, got everything, takeoffs, records, install manual, invoices, everything.

    Later …. Take Care!

The wheel hub (2 piece) would have to be machined to accept your speedometer drive and bearings. The hub might be a couple hundred dollars and would need a donor wheel doing the machining.

They make a nice dressup kit for the GL1500 front wheel that I have used that closely matches the GN (9 spoke) wheel.
