So very sad. I keep my distance from the big trucks because anything is possible around them with the wind and pull.
This was on our news last night. I know this area and there are also always crosswinds plus the turbulence created by passing vehicles. Don't ride behind a Semi any longer then you have too or even drop back if you can't get around safely very soon.
WELLINGTON, Carbon County — A Price woman was killed Thursday after she lost control of her motorcycle and crashed into a guardrail on U.S. 6, police said.
The 51-year-old woman was westbound on U.S. 6 about 20 miles south of Wellington when she crashed about 3 p.m. and died at the scene, said Utah Highway Patrol trooper Matt Bunnell.
Turbulence from a semitrailer passing the woman on her left and another semi in front of her caused her to lose control of the motorcycle, Bunnell said. She died after striking a guardrail on the right side of the roadway.
The woman, whose name wasn't immediately released, was reportedly on a drive with her husband and her brother, who were on other motorcycles a short distance away.
The woman was wearing a helmet, Bunnell said. One of the semi drivers noticed the woman's crash and tried to render first aid, he added.

One day several years ago when riding my 2 wheeler home from work on loop 820 in Ft Worth a cap came apart on a 18 wheeler, a big chunk was slung very high in the air and as I was going too fast to do any thing else, I prayed as I ran under it and it hit the road behind me. That was much pucker power. I thing I also aged a few years I a few seconds.
When passing an 18 wheeler just before you get to the front where there is a large bow wave of wind coming off, it works to accelerate hard at this point. That stabilizes the bike and you hardly feel the blast on you.
