If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
Well you're sure in the right part of the country to do that ... but Sully is right ... especially if there is any wind ... I'm learning no matter how well I tune the Tri ... there are some things that I just can't control ... God and his awesome power is always showing me whose in control. Enjoy the ride ... I know you are ...
Hmmmm ... maybe you can get Mary to hold a gas can .. she did real good with the tire .. .. although ... that might be pushing a little bit ...
Not a trike but one of my favorites bikes was a 1999 Honda Valkyrie Tour. Would pass anything on the road except a gas station. Coming back from a rally in Oklahoma one time I was running 90 plus MPH through Dallas on a Sunday morning. Got 23 MPG, normally would do 32 - 33 MPG two up at 65 - 70 MPH. Once all 6 of the carbs started opening up fully you could almost see the gas tank imploding from the suction! Sure was fun to ride though!

I started to say I will bet you are getting about 28mpg at best. Trike is stable though at that speed.
Waiting on the pictures of the trip

Just beginning our ride together
Yeah, in the directit is great, in the shade, it's just a drab blue.
Yep, any significant distance between gas stations needs a gas jug or we'll be walking. lol
Bungies on the TP will hold 2 more gallons easily.
That's about what we were getting...strong headwind and 85 - 90 is not a formula for good mpg.
TG is rock solid at those speeds. MPG, not so good. Any traffic around, my reflexes are not fast enough either.
Full ride report with lots of pics will be down the road.
