Once when I had the Ez in my jacket's front pocket, Since then I keep it in my windshield bag works every time now.....
Anyone in or around New Hampshire had issues when going thru the toll booths?
Tonight I went thru the tolls 3 times and the first two the bells went off even though I had my EZ-Pass out.
My first thought was the license plate is too low for the camera to capture a picture to match with the transponder.
My bike and plate number are registered with EZ-PASS and I've never had an issue before.

I'm in Pennsylvania, and mount 3 EZ-Passes ~ one on each of my motorcycles. After 3 ~ 5 years, the battery charge drops and the transponder no longer interacts with the overhead antennas. There's no easy way to check the battery charge (that I know of) ~ I just mail it back to the PTC, and 1½ weeks later, I get a new one in the mail.
I'll assume you review every monthly statement ~ you'll start noticing non-compliance fees. In PA, they're called 'V-Tolls' and they're $5 per mis-read IF your license plate is register. If not, it goes up to $3x per violation.

My transponder works in my other vehicles. I think the problem is the license plate on the back of the trike is too low for the camera to pick up and match with my transponder.
I have an email in to EZ Pass office now....still waiting for their reply.
Yes, all my vehicles, car, truck and trike are registered with this EZ Pass. In NH they now take pics of EVERY vehicle passing thru the tolls. The program instantly matches your transponder with the vehicle. If your vehicles are registered no problem but if not, you can be fined.
I love the EZ Pass contact info. I sent them an email and the will do their best to respond within 10 business days.
Just had to replace my NY EZ Pass. It worked and then it didn't. When it doesn't, they just read my plate and eventually charge me normal fee, as long as registered plate with them. When I talked to someone, I was told they don't review the plates photographed unless there is a problem, in NY.
We went from Wisconsin to Penn last year.
I mounted mine on the dash of my GW Trike and never had a problem. Sure liked the savings by using one instead of paying cash.
Wow, got a response back in around 3 days and they were right on top of it.
I said I thought the problem was the my plate was too low for the camera to capture a picture of.
Their response: We have a back up system which takes a picture of your license plate to match against your transponder and vehicles registered on your account".
A lot of good the back up system is when my plate is not high enough to be filmed...duh
