If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
Thanks.... Those were the days...

That video would go really good in the Remember When thread, nice find.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting...Holy Sh!t What a ride!
Wow. That's enough to bring a tear to the eye. We've outlived so many of those familiar faces. Wish I still had some of the old toys.
Did anyone else notice the late '60s Ford ice cream truck?
Born in '52, so I pretty much remember from around '57 on....started first grade in '58.....GREAT Times.....

Chalk up one more thing on your claim to fame list. You were born at the same time that Rock and Roll hit the scene.
Back in 1955 I listened to 45 rpm records with artists like Ike Turner, Bill Haley, The Coasters, the early Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, Big Joe Turner, Clyde McPhatter, The Drifters, Little Richard, Chuck Berry and many others.
I remember the first portable transistor radio (TR-1) coming out about that time and they began putting transistor radios in cars.
Don't know about "GREAT" times, but things were really changing fast back then.
Still have my very first and second little transistor radios with their ear plugs and in the original cardboard boxes. Several Collectors have tried to buy the second one (General Electric), but seem to have no use for the first (Sylvania), even though it's older. Like all things collectable I guess, "certain models have more value than others"....
