Not using first gear
Assuming that your trans has never been apart you should be able to get the ratios from the id stamp. It is located on the passenger side of the trans about 5 o'clock (standing at rear facing forward towards the engine). You will have to look up behind the frog leg to see it. Here is a page with the codes:http://www.midsouthvw.com/TechTips/t...nsaxleCode.htm There are other sites that will give you the original 1,2,3,4 ratios also. Then you can go to Rancho's site:http://ranchotransaxles.com/calculator.html and calculate your theoretical top speed.
