Fullsac Sportpipe?

2014 TriGlide - Has anybody tried the Fullsac Sportpipe? It is a much cheaper option than the Cx and they claim within 1 HP of most x pipe builds. I prefer this to de-catting my stock pipes and want the benefits of the ceramic coating.

I think the sport pipe is a good option, I wouldn't hesitate.

I'm amazed at how restrictive the catalytic converter looks to be. Anybody know what material it is made out of?

Ceramic core plated with platinum. That's why replacement catalytic converters cost so much (other than the normal gouging placed on such items) - platinum is precious.

They flow a lot better than people think. A pretty reputable builder and tuner managed 119hp and 132ft/lbs or torque through a factory head pipe and rush slipon's installed on a 124" S&S HC engine. The cat didn't hurt the torque much at all, it did cost about around 15 hp.

2014 - 10K miles > I'm starting to think I should just bite the bullet and de-cat my stock pipes. When it's out of warranty in a year I can go crazy with all the right engine upgrades. I just want to keep my warranty for another year ... and need my wife's right foot to be cooler on 90 degree days .... and not kill my great gas mileage. CHEAPLY for now.

The fuelsac sport header is my second choice. The DX is my first choice. It has a full round cross over instead of using the squashed cross over.
im trying to find a set of Freewheeler mufflers to send him so he can make performance baffles like they have for a CVO.
we are not sure about Fitment.

Like you, I didn't want to decat my stock pipes so I put the Sportpipe on my 2013 TriGlide and it really helped with the heat (no more cat) and runs better now. I think I remember they said that it will only accept a stage 1, and nothing more, but I could be wrong. Kept the original pipes just in case...of what I'm not sure, but kept them just the same.

Unfortunately, at the same time I put the sportpipe on, I added the SE Street Cannon mufflers and am not happy with them (they were described to me by a reliable tuner that they're "empty cans" that rob the low end torque). I'd really like to know what a good alternative is. I realize that everyone has different opinions on what they like - loud, not so loud and too quiet, and even those descriptions will differ from person to person. Am thinking about the Fullsac, but just not sure.

Quite a bit louder than when all stock, and didn't affect my tune (SERT and Heavy Breather intake.)

How loud are the street cannons? I have the screaming eagle slash outs ... really mellow ... would like a little more throat, but still have the EPA stamp ... just incase ... ... but I don't want as much rumble as my V&H slash downs.

I noticed no difference in performance. Just a mellow tone that agrees with us.

I forgot to answer your question about how loud the Street Cannons are. I saw MSocko's reply to my concern about changing out the Cannons to go back to the stock muffles and was so happy that I lost consciousness for a while.

The Street Cannons, to me, are too loud. When you're "cruising" down the road at a nice steady pace they do quiet down a bit. But if you have to roll on the throttle at all, they're screaming at you again. We do a lot of long rides and I'm just tired of all the noise. Can hear the radio just fine, even at highway speeds even with a helmet on. I have to admit I love the "rumble" when the trike decelerates. No popping or backfiring, just a nice growl.

Is it louder than your pipes? I honestly don't know. We don't live that far apart and could probably figure out a day to meet up. You could listen to them or even take the trike for a test ride to see what you think.

It will have to wait till fall ... pool season ... kinda busy and need to make hay when then sun shines. I'd like to do it ... just need to make time.
