I always show my pride with America. Being a DAV I support all veterans.

Stopped at a bike shop and picked up 2 flag mounts for the luggage rack.

I did have to make a spacer so the left flag pole would not hit the rear fender. It was easy enough. I used a old allen wrench and cut off the angled part. Then zip tied it to the curved stop. Now they don't hit the fender. Had to do em on a angle so my trip bag would fit.

I have a single wheel trailer that I am painting red, white, and blue. Haven't decided on the theme as of yet. Yes I am a bone marrow deep patriot.

Very welcome and it should look great when finished. I served over 45 years ago. I guess I am now considered old. Well, my Dad was in a Tank in the 2nd Armored during WW2 and is 90. Yes, he has slowed down a bit.

After retiring I got into anything with excitement looking for that rush I dealt with for so many years. I was wilder than a buck. I tried everything I could find that might give me my rush.
Now after being retired since 88 everything is catching up wit me. It seems every week I find another part of my body that won't cooperate. This is why I have gone to trikes. I still give it *ell trying.

Just curious as to why you didn't mount the flags on the rear of the luggage rack? The luggage suitcase will fit w/flags mounted vertical on the rear brace of rack. Am sure you are aware that the US flag is always mounted vertical...and the other 2 must be the same height or lower than US flag. Thank you for your service.

Not exactly Barb. The US flag my be flown vertical, horizontal or any way in between. Other than upside down there is no wrong way to display the flag unless you are doing so with the intent to be disrespectful. Same idea with the other flags. No other flag should be flown higher. In this case there is no intent to be disrespectful so there isn't and foul. I spent the first 4 years of my Army career as a lower enlisted Military Police doing Flag call just about every day . Flag protocol was pounded into us. Had to learn the flag rules real fast

Actually, the pow/Mia is the only flag that can be displayed at the same height. Others must be lower. That is why the pow/Mia is at the same height. If I were to use a different flag on the left I would need to use the shorter mask if I wasn't using a pow/Mia flag at the top. Check it and see if I'm right. There were some changes made a year or so ago but I use the military positions.
the are on angles so my tour bag will fit correctly. It has pockets on the sides, the poles are spaced and angled to clear the bag.
