When it works as well as Bill says it will, I'll be ordering a set for wife's Tri. Both scoots did seem to loose a tad of bottom end with the 4" Megaphone Mufflers, and they aren't blackening up enough to make me comfortable.

When I got old I promised myself I'd leave my scoots stock. Oh Well, another promise from me to me broken. It's off to hell I go
    screwball,

Just remember your only going to be able to richen the closed loop with these units and maybe some trace affects to the open loop according to Nightrider (the manufacture). With the later model 4 wire heated Delphi O2 sensors about 14.0 % or the 75% mark is about as rich as the Fl-Vied-10 units will get things, about 6% max more fuel. (With the older 2 wire Bosch O2 sensors you could get about 13.9% max).

The 50% mark is about 14.2 % and a lot of Harley's like this fuel ratio for the cruz range or up to about 35% to 40% throttle and down.

Your trike will run a little cooler and have better throttle responce. Try the 75% and the 50% ranges and fine tune if needed. Give the bike time to adapt, you will find the sweet spot for your set up. ( As mentioned before 50% seems to be the sweet spot for a lot of Harley's)

The Fl-Vied-10 will more than likely not fix all the losses caused by the large baffles in the CRF mufflers (don't expect miracles, large baffles inherently rob low mid and give better top end performance) The FL-Vied-10 units will for sure cool things down a little and should help with the throttle response (this is a good thing) Remember your only going to be richining things up 3% minimum up through the 4% to 6% range in the cruz range (up to 35% to 40% throttle range) and idle depending on the settings you settle on.

These small fuel ratio increases in closed loop really make a difference. It does not take much of a change to make a nice difference.

    Ride Safe,
    Bill G

My set up felt a tad rich at the 14.0 ratio but would have been ok, just felt better at the 14.2 ratio.

The FL-Vied-10 has the adjustable pot on it so the fuel ratio can fine tuned in the ranges of between 13.9 to 14.3 or 14.4 with the 2010 and later touring model Harley's with the 4 wire heated Delphi oxygen sensors.

There easy to install so I would say give the FL-Xied-10 a try and see how they work. If the fuel ratio is not right for you then the FL-Vied-10 adjustable units are only $119.00

let us know how it works out.

(Note.) On the Freewheeler there is a sweet little grounding block just inside the frame on the right side for the grounds. It's easy to get to you will see the negative from the battery and the rest of the Freewheelers ground wires going to it.

    Bill G
i put the xied's on the F/W this am, and did a short run, no real seat of the pants diff, as far as the heat, well nothing there really but it was a short run I'll know more on a longer run. now the one thing that was a plus!!! was the throttle in first gear take off. no more bucking and pinging and a real smooth take off at a lot lower RPM. i guess the xtra fuel is a good thing and that made me happy, i was having problems when taking off before and had to make a turn at a high RPM, was kind of spooky but now it works a whole lot better. BTW my bike is still all stock.

Hey Gang, it is kudos time

Kevin, thank you and your operation for the prompt service, I received my care package this morning.

Bill, Thank you for your recommendations and explanations

Installation took 34 minutes, this includes opening the package and reading the instructions. Also includes the additional 10 minutes it takes me to go from standing to sitting on the garage floor, and getting back up again unassisted.

In honor of me actually springing for a 'performance' product our gang did a 100 mile dinner run.

First off, the 'too lean' hesitation at start off was gone. Also gone was the decal popping. Using my highly calibrated dyno-ass I could feel a tad more pull at low end. I'll NEVER spend a couple of hundred to have my trike dynode it doesn't make any difference how much HP my Harley is producing, or if I could squeeze out another HP or 2.

Never had a heat problem, so I can't tell if it is any cooler or not. It was 105* when we left, I was wearing shorts and didn't get burned, toasted, or overheated. BUT I usually don't anyway. I did sunburn the tops of my legs.... could that be from the Cat???

Overall I'm happy. So happy that I'll be ordering another set for wife's '14 Tri-Glide

    Thanks Everyone

    Good deal screwball,

Now you can't Fat mouth me Lol.. I was looking forward to that, He He.. The question is can you beat your neighbors Corvette now??

The Vied/Xied are hard to beat for what they cost, they do work well over all.

Default New Stage 1 Air Intake Intalled Uped Setting To 75%

    A little update....

New stage 1 air cleaner added. The trike still ran great at the 50% or 14.2% set point. But to my surprise it ran a little better now at the 75% or 14.0% set point. It is nice that the FL-Vied-10 units have a little adjustment to them for fine tuning.

I've ordered a set of the FL-ViED-10s for my 2014 Tri Glide.

Is everyone setting both front and back at the same setting?

I have used them on several Harley's with good results including the Freewheeler shown in this thread when I started it.

I have always set them the same myself as suggested by the instructions. Your only tuning the closed loop in small percentages 3% to a 6% increase depending on how you set them. Some guys have posted on other forums saying they have set the rear cylinder a hair richer with good results. I myself have not tried this.

You could call Steve Mullens the owner and designer of the units at Nightrider.com. He could tell you if adjusting them different would be to your advantage or not Pros/Cons of doing so. He is a super nice guy with a grip of knoledge. He don't mind at all talking to his customers.

That only works if they're not reading the same post or me telling others that didn't happen to notice it. Was waiting to be able to run FW a little richer before installing the knock-off's you convinced me to buy that are still sitting on the shelf. Ordering the FL-Vied tonight.

    Cool!

Been traveling and have not been able to keep up with all the threads...I just read thru this one for the first time.

I know the XiED products work, been using them myself for years, and have helped thousands of Customers get rid of that low speed stutter/hesitation that the newer EFI bikes have...

    .....BUT....

To get a from you, I'm almost speechless. Very cool!

    Thank you!

Do you mind if we quote you on your experience at this LINK?
