New to Forum. Own '02 Goldwing Trike now...Florida

Hi there! Heidi K. here. Brand new to the forum.

We have had an '02 Goldwing Trike with Champion Kit for about 18 mos now. We call him Ben. (like Ben Grimm, aka the Thing from Fantastic Four)

My daughter and I take turns riding shotgun while hubby Alan drives.

Looking to possibly buy a Hannigan Tri-Car so I thought I would talk to some folks on forums to say hi and see if there were any other Tri-Car owners out there who could tell me plusses, minuses and maybe there is someone looking to selll. We would like to have one this summer so we are thinking about trying to buy one vs. having one triked out for us. Wait time is 3 months....

Thanks! Sorry to disappear on you. I went over to the GL1800 forum to see if any of them had one....Found two actually...

We bought one!!!!.................actually we put a deposit down. Alan is likely going to Murray, KY to get it this weekend, taking a check with him.

We bought the one on the showroom at Hannigan!

My 11 year old has already named him....."The Flash" (you see a pattern here?)

OH and we are keeping Ben.... :-)

Thanks....so I am just hearing the bad news that the AutoTrain is neither Trike or SideCar friendly. How can I get Flash up to New England for our vacation this summer without us going broke? We were hoping to put him on the AutoTrain get off at DC, drive up the Appalachian Trail and then ride to Boston and then Maine and Canada...



Are there people who will drive your vehicle places for a price that beats a $1000 shipping bill?

I'm sure there are, Heidi, and perhaps some of our members have more knowledge than I do about how to locate such a person. We have a few truckers on the forum. I suppose one of them might be willing to negotiate a deal with you if he doesn't have a full truck and is heading north from Florida. It doesn't hurt to post your need and see what response you get.
