They are "water resistant" not waterproof
Anybody who reads this can give me an answer...
Just how waterproof are the triglides, anyhow?
When I ride to work, it's left at the mercy of the elements and it got rained on pretty hard the last night when I rode in. At home, I don't have a garage, but keep it under a trike cover. It seems to suffice and keep it pretty dry.
I guess what I'm asking is, what is at risk with it getting rained on? Or, should I not worry much, since a motorcycle should be made with exposure to the elements in mind anyway?

I took a little 200 mile ride around the area today after stopping by the Legion for their first possibly monthly breakfast feed. Was nice to finally be able to get out after the rains we've had. You can sure see the signs of how high the water got.
Fences with debris on every strand of wire says it was at least 4+ feet high and rushing strong. Some of the creeks are still just barely below road level in places. But I didn't see any roads closed from Wichita Falls to the northwest, Petrolia to the north and Jacksboro to the south and east toward Denton. Yet here in Bowie we still have two that are closed. Only because I'm more familiar here would I know.
But you can sure see the signs just about everywhere you go. This week is supposed to be rain free and we sure need the time to dry out. It looks like the wheat crop is a complete loss in most places. Saw that going south toward Denton. There's no way they can get into those fields for weeks. Our own road was washed out twice in this last series of rain events.
Sure was nice to get out though. Absolutely beautiful day to ride. Although yesterday was a better one as far as wind goes. Our road got repaired but they dump huge boulders to help hold the culvert down. Got sideways a couple times but I was going for it no matter what. May not have another good time. Got to work on my own fences now myself.

Rode the beast to werk tonight.
Observation: hitting bumps will absolutely RATTLE YOUR TEETH on the TG. Don't remember it being quite that bad on a two wheeler (not that I would ever switch back, mind you).

Wichita Falls doesn't rely on aquifers for their water needs. We rely on Lake Arrowhead,Lake Kemp,Lake Diversion, and maybe Lake Wichita to supply our city of 105,000. All of the lakes mentioned are over their spillways, right now. Even if we went back to Stage Five drought conditions tomorrow, the very worst,we would probably have enough water to last us at least seven years. Central Texas relies on the great Edwards aquifer for much of their water needs but it's almost completely full now and all the area lakes in that region are close to running over the spillways too,if not already over. South Texas has more water than they can handle, right now. Don't know about West Texas but it's always pretty arid, anyway.

I need to preface this post with the fact that the shift supervisor comes by the unit every shift to 'sign the books', even though the books are no longer books, but a computer program we log everything in....
The supervisor came by about 20 minutes ago. He is a substitute for the normal supervisor, who is on vacation. The regular guy usually doesn't come by until between 4 and 5am. And he could come by at anytime he pleases up to that point. So you have to be 'on guard' that whole time. That being said, what to do now? I've no worries of the supervisor popping in on me for the rest of the shift.
The cat's away, this mouse might play...

Hmmm...just realized something. The 12th will be one year exactly that I've owned the TG. On the way to work tonight I hit 3650 miles. That's more miles than I put on my Yamaha Royal Star Deluxe in the 7 years I owned it. That's really telling me something about my enjoyment of this trike.
