Rain suit

Hey All, With the rainy season coming and all these summer storms I'm tired of getting soaked. Can anyone recommend a watertight suit I've had a few suits over the years they all leaked, usually in awkward spots. Nothing like stopping somewhere with big wet spots under both arms and between you legs. Thanks Steve

Buy a very lightweight rain poncho to wear under your rain jacket. As far as pants go, I have had no issues with Harleys rain pants ever leaking

Let me know when you find one that doesn't leak as I want to buy one. Every rain suit I have ever owned leaked.

Unfortunately Harley quit selling the Gortex rain gear, it was pricey almost $500 for the jacket and pants. I have it for the wife and I both, the best money I ever spent. Nice thing about Gortex is it breathes, most rain gear leaves you feeling soggy and damp. If I had to buy again I would look for Gortext rain gear, no matter who made it.

we purchased rain suits from Harley. About $180 each but well orth it. We have been in some very heavy rains and stayed dry. They stay in their small bags in the trunk ready to go.

I have owned a number of rain suits over the years,some good and some bad,but the best I found were from Walmart. They don't leak,can withstand a bunch of heat w/o melting,and actually look pretty stylish. Sherry and I both have them and the cost was around $60/pair.
FWIW,the worst rain suit I ever had was by Frogg Toggs.

We have some older rainsuits, bought at WalMart by Coleman. About medium weight, but work fairly well.

This past trip, we decided we wanted a lighter suit, so we bought the light weight Frogg Toggs. Haven't used them yet, hope they're better than Clint's.

I need to find some new GoreTex suits.

Look into the frog togs at frogtogs.com ... but make sure you get the hog togs heat shields.

I've had two sets of these (had to get a new one cause I went from 400+ # to 280#, not cause they wore out), and they will keep you very dry. I put the hood up and around my face then put on the full face helmet and I stay very dry. The big benny is the breath, kinda like Gortex.

I don't use rain gear...I use fishing gear...mine are Frabill from Sports Academy...I also use them in the winter and they work...I can also be found in a deerstand wearing them...mine are hunter green with black kneepads...

I can't remember the brand name, but it was the Signature II line and it kept me dry for the last 20+ years (still have it so I'll check the name), but I wanted something that was easier to get on/off. I bought the H-D set a couple years ago - it also keeps me dry, but I have ulcers trying to get it on because of the F%$#@ Velcro on the legs. As soon as you get it apart it falls back and reattaches = maddening.
I also have the H-D boot covers - also a pain to get into. Once you are all in they are great. I have the Riders Warehouse 3 finger glove covers - they are worth their weight in gold.
I've found that if you have the beaded seat pad, your butt won't get wet.....not sitting in a pool of water.

I have an inexpensive "Dry Bones" suit that has served me well for many years. Keeps me dry in total downpours.

The same suit did not work well for Mary. She has the Joe Rocket RS-2, and it has worked very well for her this year.

I have a suit by Riggs I believe is the name. It is made by Triumph if memory seves me correctly. It served me well in some of the heavy down pours in FL.

Just checked, it's a Dry Rider Signature Line rain suit - still in damn good shape after all these years..

Harley HiVis for the wife and I , in orange for me and the wife loves lime green. WE got both the safety colors covered and make quite the fashion statement but at least people can see us. She had Frogg Toggs and I had the Bass Pro Shop redhead brand suit. Then she got the Walmart fishing rain suit. One monsoon storm and I went Hi Vis. One more and she threatened my life if she didn't get a HiVis rainsuit too.

My wife has Nelson Rigg and loves them...she said they were way better than her Frog Toggs ...

wife and I have dry rider suits probably 20years old still work but in a vary heavy rain I always have some rain water running down chest( I don't have full face helmet) ,,, wife says that should be my signal that we should stop and watch rain go by!!

Another thumbs up for an old Dry Rider suit. How many other brands can say that.

If I remember, I usually ware a towel around my neck with any suit - just in case.
