Selecting a front end for a 1F2R vw trike

I have a '79 Honda CX500C and a '82 Suzuki GS650GL to pick from - both have a single disc front brake and a 90/90-19 (3.5") front tire. The bikes' dry weight are within ten pounds of each other.

Would one be superior to the other for the front end of a VW trike, or is it a draw?

What factors matter?

The trouble that I see in the future is due to the age of the front ends, they may start getting tough to get parts for. Other than that I wouldn't imagine it would make much difference other than the Honda may be easier to find after market parts for.
