:oMy lesson...When it won't start, check the kill switch!!
Lesson 1: We came home; unpacked the Escapade; but I left the lid opened "just a crack". A few weeks later discovered a mouse had made a nice home out of the kleenex left inside;-no harm-no foul.
Lesson 2: Took the cover off the bike; a varmit had eaten a hole through the backrest pouch to get to my strawberry lip gloss and also through the glove box door to eat Steve's hard candies.
Cost of repairs $250.00; loss of my lip gloss- priceless.
What are your lessons learned?

My lesson-----Check the reverse lever to make sure it is all the way down---the trike will not start if not---(ask me how I know that)!!!!!

Check the kick stand too!!!!!
I think mine FIRST lesson was making sure that the metal luggage tag is IN the trailer...not hanging out of the lid to flap around and damage the paint....oops! And this was the second lid on the N-line trailer.
That would have been my husband's first lesson....don't jack knife the trailer and damage the lid!

In 1981, I was in a contest to take pictures of "county" signs (there are 67 counties in Florida). I was in North Florida. In a hurry to get to the next county, I forgot to put the kick-stand up and took off. I went into a curve, __ I __ leaned but the bike did not. The bike went straight off the road, flipping me AND the bike over into soft sand, causing $1300 to the bike and a sore ride back to Hollywood, Florida! I'm sure glad there is a safety switch now that one can't start the engine with the kick-stand down! (By the way, I completed the picture-taking contest.)
Adjusting the clutch, bike on the centerstand, engine running, sitting on bike going through the gears. Remember not to lean back too far..... WOW!
