never mind , it's easy on the new bikes.
I'm glad it is about a2 hour job on my 09. The info-tainment system must make easy? Curious!!!! fearless

my 12 was a project to move the bars on. the 15, all i did was remove the panel around the ing. switch and there they are, i ground down 1/4 inch allen and got right at them. HD made taking the switch housing off wasy on the new bikes , there's a slot now ,no taking the swtich out anymore. took me longer to grind the allen down than it did to adjust the bars.
I just had my dealer install new 10" KST Kustoms 10" Mayhem Bagger bars and the WHIM on my 'Glide while doing my 10,000 mile service. I really like the added height they offer but wish they were pointed towards me another 1-1/2 to 2 inches as I don't have the longest reach. What was involved in getting to the bar clamp. Is it something I can do or is it better to take it back to the dealer? ( I don't want to break anything! LOL!)

Hmmm ... that is like asking can I do brain surgery ... if your a brain surgeon .. yep. If you are somewhat mechanical and feel comfy doing it ... than I'd say yes. I am fairly mechanically inclined, but not so good at electrical ... ya gotta know what your limits are.
Having said all that ... I'd call the handlebar installer and see if he'd adjust them as part of the "job" or for a nominal fee ... if he tells you it's a four hour job ... guess what ... ... another issue might be that those bars may not be able to tilt back much, although most can tilt back ... just not so much forward.
Anyone contemplating adjusting them yourself, make sure they clear the tank when the bars are turned all the way in both directions.
