Originally from Oregon, now a very happy Texan.

Electraglide and I were on the losing end of an argument with a car fender, which led to a few operations and a bout with MRSA, which led to an artificial knee, which led to my deciding that 35 years of riding was enough balanced against the possibility of that flaky knee collapsing under the 'glide.

5 years passed.

Then the wife and I went up to see our daughter at Ellsworth Air Force Base. During the Sturgis 75th. And they had demo rides. And I climbed onto a Freewheeler.

And the wife took one look at my face. And we hugged the daughter, climbed back into the pickup, and headed for home. *After* we stopped 50 miles from home at a Harley dealership.



Amber Whiskey, windshield, passenger backrest, and after yesterday and today, engine guard with footpegs, cup holder, phone charger and mount.

Hello Red and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. I am happy to hear that you are once again enjoying the knees in the breeze. I came to riding a trike after an accident. I was riding a Gold Wing home after work when a kid crossed the center line and hit me head on. I spent 2 years having 9 surgeries, but after all the slicing and dicing, I got another GW with a Lehman conversion. It took a few miles to get the difference but I love the stability and traction. Of course my fuel milage dropped a little because of the 2 sails called fenders but not bad. I would suggest that you practice with your new trike in an empty parking lot. Set up some type of markers about 50 ft apart, and practice figure 8s.

That will get you used to the extra width of the rear end, which you really need to watch when you need fuel.

Those yellow posts seem to to jump right out at you! Ride safe.

So glad you were able to find your way back. Totaled 2 within 9 weeks back in 2011 and have been on 3 wheels ever since. You will like it. Take the time to get properly adjusted to 3 wheels. Pictures asap.
