Welcome to TT!
I have the OEM lowers for 14/15 touring. Back when I bought mine I contacted MS and they said that they had not yet made anything to fit on the FLRT.

MS still says they haven't mounted any of their fairings on a FW. My HD dealer says he has and anything for a Roadking will work. I ordered one and its out for paint so I'll find out soon if it fits. I just wasn't sure about the lowers fitting with the fairing with the extended front end. I did kern that you need to buy a steering dampener bracket in order to mount the engine guard. (That's according to HD I have no personal experience with it yet)
They will "fit" on the FLRT, but you might not like how large the opening around the headlight is.

Just curious,Jim,but why not check the fairing fit, before painting?
Looking forward to seeing it mounted up.
Clint, good question. I bought the Freewheeler while on Vacation in Texas and they are modifying an electric shifter and connecting the front and rear brakes to the hand brake so it's still at the dealer and should be shipped to me in Phoenix in the next week or so. I then ordered the fairing and had it shipped to a custom bike painter in OK. I know the fairing will fit my question was with a fairing has anyone out engine guard and lowers on because I've never seen one with all three. BTW the reason for customizing the shifter and brakes is I'm a double leg amputee.
+1 Congrats and KEEP THOSE WHEELS TURNING - we salute you......
I'm confused, why would the engine guard and lowers interfere with the fairing?
Another note, you do not have to buy a new bracket when installing the engine guard.
Only 2 things that I had to do to make it fit like it should. One, was cutting off the fork on the outside mount on the frame. Not the one made to the frame but the one out side that comes off. Secondly, I had to turn the bolt on the out side dampener bolt upside down and add a washer. Fit like a glove.
The outer mount on top is 2 pieces. One is on the frame neck and the other will come off when the bolt is removed. It has 2 fang like arms that are bent to add support for the damper mount on the frame. I cut them off because the one you buy is just one cut off most likely. Can't change the frame mount bracket.
Fairing: why not get one for a roadking and use a fl headlight. They are made for each other. unless they made some changes and the RK is different now.

Thanks guys I appreciate the kind words. I've always been a Harley guy and sold my Electraglide last Nov when I lost my legs. I missed riding every day so I bought a Spyder because of the semi auto hand shift and it had an aftermarket hand brake. It was awesome getting back out there but needless to say ....... It wasn't a Harley. So while on vacation some buddies and I stopped at a Harley shop to cool off and an hour later I was a Harley man again 😀
Doing things you thought weren't possible gives you the strength to push on and as they say, you only live once !!
My wife and I were talking about a fairing and lowers. Better protection and then we can have tunes.
I miss my tunes.

Ya know...I look back at all the rides I've had in the last 20 years and now I say the same thing. I wasn't blessed to own my first Harley until March, when I traded up to a 2009 Night Train. I loved it, but decided to trade it in for a new TG so I could take all my girls on rides.
My oldest daughter rode on the NT with me, but I couldn't take my youngest daughter for rides as she is special needs. My wife just wouldn't ride period, because she felt 'unsafe'. After a few minor modifications, my youngest daughter now rides with me, and even though she is non-verbal, she lets me know she wants to ride by bringing me her helmet, then doing her modified sign for motorcycle--holding her hands in front of her like she's revving the throttle.
I went on the first alone 'date' with my wife in over 5 years on the TG, after one of the teacher's aides that works with our daughter agreed to sit with her. I've got a couple of more dates since because of this. Life is good right now. Because I own a Harley? I like to think so...

I just put a road king windsplitter windshield on my flrt. I love the windshield. Air does not come up through the windshield between the shield and the headlight and yes it is not perfectly flush , there is about a 2 inch opening. Personally I don't notice it and really like the way the windshield looks and functions. An FLRT would probably look pretty cool with a roadking headlight but it sure seems like an awful lot of trouble for a windshield to fit an inch closer to the headlight. I think the windshield looks great as is . Hope you have the same experience with the fairing . I would love to see pictures when you get it .
