Snowbird Get Together 2016

Well, sort of...LOL
As you know we had a sticking brake on the trailer..Thought we could limp along till we got to Florida then have it looked at..Not so much! St. Mary's, GA, at the Pilot truck stop, they start locking pretty bad so we called a service truck and he came and looked at it and cut the wires to the brake. He said we should have no problem till we get to NH, or where ever we are going to have them worked on.
So it was a long day..AND to make things worse, there is The 24 Hour Rolex race at Daytona, so no room for many..many..miles..we got a room in Titusville for the night...
Now while we are in Florida, need to find a good brake mechanic to go through the trailer and make sure all the brakes are good. I have the brakes, bearings lubed, and new tires put on, when we came to Florida last year, I guess I need to have the brakes looked at before any long trip!

Welcome to sunny Fl. Rosy , Janice , & all other snowbirds . Every long trip seems to have moments , some good , some not so good , we seem to get threw them , thank God . I bet Big dog has a lot of stories he could share . Glade you are here , safe , & almost ready to ride .

Hey big dog , who is going to keep me from getting lost , lol. I know where you are coming from , we are unable to make the northeast get together , because of timing is in middle of our season . Heard it maybe in Dover N.H. area this coming year , now that one is close to us . Should be able to get a day or two off . And , yes I am the captain ,lol, & if we ran a boat , I could get a week off . BUT , IT IS NOT A BOAT , & I AM NOT THE BOSS . LOL , but I do get a lot of coffee breaks , all good

Well the weather pattern has changed 3 times in the last week and not for the better !! I hope it changes again before Sunday/Monday. If the front moving our way speeds up we may be in for some very nice weather but, if it stays the same, we may get a little wet !!!

Roger that Tom, we've been watching it real close and for 4 days they said no rain on Sunday which is when we are heading over. Last night on our local station they said 60% chance of rain, dang!!! Other than a brief shower we haven't ridden the Tri in the rain, looks like we might be in for a treat getting to that side of the state.

We have a saying in NH, " wait 5 minutes it'll change", speaking of the weather..Maybe we need a saying for Florida too! 😳😳😳😳😳😳
With El Niño in the mix, the whole country is in turmoil about the weather..tornados, major snow storms, early hurricanes, now the unsettled weather...🙀🙀🙀🙀

Attachment 33113 Had a visitor this morning . He coiled , & I soiled , We stay in the Ocala Natural Forest ,but this is too much ,lol .I think he wants to go to the snowbird rally. He doesn't know it yet , but he is going to Ma. we have a great stop for him in the mini golf course .Never know what you may come across while traveling .

Hi Tom,

Gary and I will not be able to make it to the Snowbird Gathering. Our dog sitter got sick and is out of commission for a week and we will be forced to stay home with our two fur babies. I am contacting the hotel now to cancel our reservation there as well.

We are disappointed and will have to shoot for next year!
