Selling Parts After Conversion?

I'm curious as to how you all got rid of the parts that come off your bike after your conversion. I don't trust craigslist and not very savvy on ebay.

Never did a conversion, but every five years or so, I gather up the used "treasures" and a buddy of mine who has an ebay store sells it all ... we spilt profit and I still always get more than I thought I should of.

Having said that ... since you probably don't know my buddy ... in this little podunk town, we have an eBay store. As I understand it, you bring him your stuff and he does the work/aggrevation to sell it and he gets a cut. Might check out something like that. If not, ebay is not that difficult, at least buying ... ... so selling shouldn't be a big deal. The issue I see is with no rep, buyers will be leery to buy from a first time seller. I know I am.

2012 Road Glide Ultra. I'm assuming saddle bags, JRI shocks, Rear wheel and what ever comes off on a conversion.

Been too lazy to take pics,so far.

With so many bikes being converted it isn't too easy to sell parts... I did sell my back wheel and tire from my Wing when I first converted my 2004 but that was all.

I sold practically everything I took off the bike through ebay, and the classified section of hdforums. The only part I didn't sell was the swing arm. Fender, brake, rotor, shocks, bags, lights, wheel and tire, all gone.

When my new 06 Goldwing was triked, the dealer asked me if I wanted the parts. I said yes and thought I would sell them.
I got one call about the saddelbags. I told him he could have all the parts for $100 just to get rid of them.
Could have done better if it was today and not 2006.

Ive bought several sets of left overs and got a great price, seller was Happy and in the end i made money and or had some parts.

Made my best buys on such at car swap meets, cuts down the competition to pay too much. Bloody hot here in cowtown today. Glad i got a 5ton ac unit with a 14inch hole blowing ice cubes, self contained ac heat unit outta double wide trailer, only way to go in a shop.

Window units i had were weak, compared to the hurricane from the dw unit. Best to ya.

Better yet bring me those parts im paying cash.

They are all over eBay ... anywhere from $25 a pair to $150 a pair ... most dealers sell them for peanuts ... when I traded my ultra I wanted the monster ovals off it ... the dealer said bring the ultra in to trade, they'd take the monsters off and I could pick them up at my convenience. Asked what they would put on the Ultra and he told me they have dozens of Screaming Eagle pipes they've taken off bikes over the years, and hundreds of stock pipes ... no one wants them.
