Returning My Roadsmith Trike for...........

...........A check-up and maybe some minor adjustments.

Has anyone took their Roadsmith back to the installer after a year for a check-up even though
there's no problems

My staller offered me this idea when I picked my trike up last spring, and I'm thinking
about taking him up on it.
He only charges a couple bucks and seeing I'll be towing it south this winter, I
think the time/money will be well spent to have it done.

Mine has only been back to installer once in almost 30 k miles for a warranty repair. The rest I do myself. There's not much to go wrong with a Roadsmith but a good evaluation never hurts.

My 2015 will be a year old in December so it's the perfect time to go over it and do a full inspection and lube. Every year I do an extensive "Winter Maintenance" inspection on what ever I've ridden. Since I did my own conversion on this trike I'll have a better idea what needs closer inspection this year.

If you can't get to it yourself the annual inspection is a good idea for sure !!

While I dont have a RoadSmith.
When my Motor Trike was in for a new driveshaft. I did have them go over the bike fully.
The dealer did find a few areas he wasnt happy with the original installer and corrected a few things.
All at no charge to me at the time.

Certainly not a bad idea to have the RS checked out by the installer. My 3rd year warranty will be up in Jan 2016, so if there's anything that's gonna happen.....I'd like to get a change of gear oil in the final drive, at $70/hr not sure it needs it now. I have some ideas on how to do that myself but it's not easy getting to the fill plug.

I don't have a Roadsmith but my Hannigan hasn't been touched in 37K except to lube the u-joint. I was told by Tony of Tony's Trikes that between a Roadsmith and Hannigan. It was Roadsmith for maintenance and Hannigan for fit and finish. This was told to me by him at a Wing Ding and I had already told him I wouldn't be buying one at that time.

Sounds like a great idea. Some people rarely have a problem but sometimes that's just luck. Fresh eyes are usually welcomed by me.
