2001 Goldwing 1800Trike. What is you choice for passenger arm rest and why?
I see Kury, ShowChrome and Rivco.
My trike and bike are garaged and polished occasionaly. All I can say is my set of Kury rests are total rust here in Florida after 4 years.
Poor chrome job on the arms. The pads are chromed diecast that no chromer left will touch.
Ive also have some ShowChrome parts on my RoadStar. They are holding up longer but actually not much btter. Some rust after 8 years.
Rivco I know from nothing.
Have Kury on Pearl II and they work good, but they were on the bike when I got it. Good Luck RIDE SAFE
I have the Show Chrome armrests on my '07 Wing. I like the way they mount under the grab rails, to the seat bolts. I've seen a couple of sets mounted below the antenna mounts crack the plastic trunk when the passenger put too much weight on them. These? May bend the armrest post, but will harm nothing on the trike.
I'm not sure if ShowChrome made another model, but I used mfg# 52-677A
Show Chrome because you can open the trunk without messing with armrest.
Installed the Showchrome..love the fact that they dont interfere with the trunk opening. They are not old enough for me to comment on the finish durability.
I had the OEM on my bike and wife really liked them. Haven't put any on the trike yet and she hasn't mentioned wanting any. Personally neither of us like the others with the armrest on them. Just a personal opinion
Kromeworks for me. You dont need to move them out of the way to open the trunk like Kuryakyn. They mount to the seat rails behind the handles with stock bolts. Kury just gets to be a pain having to move them every time to open the upper trunk.

What did you install for a cup/bottle holder?

Those of you who have Showcrome, what did you install for a cup/bottle holder?
Well for Roadsmith they now make these.... and they don't rust.....
Passenger Storage Pockets
One of the coolest new accessories we have to offer this year are the Passenger Storage Compartments. These versatile compartments not only give the passenger a full complement of pockets and a drink holder, they also serve the very practical purpose of protecting your paint finish. The left side compartment has a velcro release which provides easy access to the auxiliary fuel cap.

On my MT, it had one of these mounted to the right passenger grab rail. Thing is pretty tough. I don't know if this is where it came from, I just found it for illustration.

I prefer the ShowChrome armrests and associated backrest because they are bolted the frame along with the passenger grips. The driver backrest can be easily removed. The trunk opens easily. You do not have to worry about cracking your trunk with a heavy arm passenger (not attached to trunk). I have had mine since 09 and no signs of breakdown/rust. Not to mention, the backrest is adjustable................
