Rumors are good--maybe we can start one now !!! Come to the Snowbird Gathering in Feb and we can just call it the East Coast Gathering. After all our Feb weather is about the same as the Aug weather up there!! Everybody is welcome to come on down !! But I am looking forward to traveling north again next summer.

Lord knows Atlantic City could use any tourist revenue it can get right about now, but I personally don't associate A/C with being in the North East.
ME, NH, VT, UPSTATE NY, CT, RI all come to mind when I think of North East USA.

Perhaps Rosy can put out a poll to the T/T community in the upcoming months, to see where it favors the meet location to be next year?...

I've owned a timeshare at Shawnee, Pa. for 20 years. Last year was the first time I took my trike down and the riding was just awesome! Any time they want to have a rally there is fine with me.

Actually this year we were warmer here than u were 50 and 60s in Jan and Dec. in Feb. we had a few 80 deg days. Average temp in NW Conn. was 48 deg this winter. On weekend below 0 and right back up to 50 the following week. I never even started the snow blower. And I didn't have to shovel more than the front steps. Most snow I saw was 3" and it was gone the next day.

Although it was unfortunate that this years North East TT Rally was cancelled for various reasons, for us, the distance/location was beyond our ability to participate. Except for retired folks with no time schedule to meet, I would think a more central location would encourage greater participation and turn out. The best Rally in recent memory (IMHO) was the one held in Torrington a few years back. It was closer to get to, well organized, and a included a great, pre-planned group ride - not a "do it yourself" outing.

For us, last years ride consisted of just us, exploring as best we could. Although OK, we missed the camaraderie of a group outing. Also, early a.m. rides are not my "cup of tea" when on "vacation". I would prefer to take my time, have some breakfast, chit chat, etc, rather than running off to (for example) an 8 a.m. ride. It also included a group dinner and a (brief) but interesting guest speaker on Sat night.

I'm sure others may not agree - I'm just throwing in my 2 cents...

For us, we'll see what next year brings in terms of location and health issues. Until then we wish you all Godspeed...

Me and the missus would definitely be interested in something in mid CT. Torrington area is good. Maybe not the same hotel. Just there the other day, not worth what I paid for the night. Used points, so it was free, just to note.
Maybe something with a bar in it would be good for evening hanging. Included breakfast is always good.

The problem is. NICE ROOM. And affordable price don't fit in the same sentence. Sort of an oxymoron.
Cheap nice . Trying to get a nice motel/ hotel to give us a good deal on quantity. I am sure Quantity is going to be 12 or more rooms. Let's see how the activity plays out. The place I am looking at has rooms listed on motel search web sites at $130 ad tax and it. IS $140
found another place but only 13 units. Mom and Pop motel. And in the boonies. No eating places for miles.
