De cat it ... really helps ... then maybe stage 1 with a good tune.
OK well I am new to the motorcycle world I uderstand the de cat but what is the stage 1
Free breathing air cleaner and some free flowing slip ons .. I made the assumption your trike was stock. HD is hand cuffed by the epa to keep emissions down ... hence they lean the bikes out ... unfortunately, this contributes to the heat output.

this subject is very large and complicated depending on what your ultimate goal is. Search the HD forum for heat issues and read. then decide how much you want to do. Good luck

I have discovered that the only sure fire way to cool down my TG and not feel excessive heat is to.....Ride all winter. Zero degrees helps the best. Barely.
There is good information on a Stage I is at this LINK Scroll down the page a bit until you see "Overview of a Stage I"

Good question, but Harley riders have been fighting this issue for many years now. There's a lot of good advice on this board and a number of others on the internet.
The newer TG seems to have gone a long ways to solving this problem. I was very comfortable on a long ride with one a few months ago, in the Florida heat, no less.
However, be prepared to spend a few thousand $$$ to get the trike the way you want it. Good luck. Ride safe.
