Seeing the news pictures are heartbreaking. And what you describe is horrifying! So Tragic!
Well I spent the weekend in the flood areas. Saturday drove out I40 through Nashville to Memphis, drove through 7-10"s between Jackson and Memphis. Today drove back across I40 into Nashville, to I24 and up to Clarksville.
The downtown Nashville that was visable fron the road was beyond your imagination, saw a cement plant with dozens of mixer trucks in water 2/3's of the way up the mixers. Wharehouse areas with the roofs of car just showing, the TA truckstop was a lake, trucks just sitting with water up to and above some of their windows. The river won't crest till some time tonight.
Fourteen people have died, seven in Davidson county (Nashville area). Lets all just look for any way to help these folks, prayers and a whole lot more!!!
