The best I've gotten is 36 MPG, but I have a lead foot! We got our Stallion in January, 2008 and have over 4400 miles on it! What mpg are you getting? We are in Central Florida........where are you??????

18 city 24 highway with no air cruise control and i am not happy after being told 35 to 45 arizona my vette gets better mpg

After two rides, I got 30.04 on 126 miles ride. After breaking in I hope to get high 30s. Mikey, I'm over in the Sarasota area.

does anyone have problems with the gas gage? after about 90 miles our gas gage says empty.

The gas gauge allows for a small reserve amount if I remember correctly.
Everyone’s gas mileage has me wanting not to disconnect my battery for the computer to reset my settings. The worse I have gotten is one tank32 the usually 35-36 the best has been 50

I have gotten in the upper 40's when I keep it around 45mph. Otherwise I found I got between 35-45mpg.

the best is 32MPG but I hope it will do better, I only have little over 500 miles in the 4 days I have had it.
mine went to reserve at 150 miles, I got gas at 165 miles and could only put in 6.5 gallons

Looks like low 30's at best, so far. Was expecting and hoping for more MPG.<br />

Typical Tell you 40's . my wife's car Acura TL gets low 30's . I would expect you should get mid to high 30's at least. True the farther you push the pedal down makes the gas really go. My trike is the same 38 to 40MPG at under 45 MPH and low 30's if I hot rod it. Just talked to a guy that triked a HD Low rider. Claims he dropped from 42 MPG as a 2 wheeler to low 30's as a trike.

We have never gotten more than 35 mpg in the 10k miles. Mostly we get around 33. MJ does not push it very hard either. Doesn't seem to matter long or short trips. Ted

I feel somewhat better, <i>I guess</i>! Most report (above) better mileage with Stallions than I am getting with a GL1800/Roadsmith trike. Mine is delivering about 27 mpg no matter how I drive/ride it. I haven't tried 45 mph though. <g><br />

My previous K1200LT/Hannigan delivered from 34 to 49 mpg and the Grinnall Scorpion 111 was about the same overall.

I only have approx 1,000 miles logged but so far my mileage has been between 28-33 MPG. My last tankful was my best at 33 MPG and I kept the speed at or below 55 MPH the whole time. I'd hate to have to drive any slower to get better mileage. You'd never get anywhere.

Another issue I've noticed on my 2 last tankfuls is the gauge is very inaccurate. By that I mean the gauge is all the way down to E but the most I could get into the tank was 6.9 gallons (and that's with fuel right up into the neck of the filler hole). The low fuel light was on in both cases and I was afraid to drive much farther, afraid that I'd run out of gas. If the tank hold 9.5 gallons, that's 2.5 gallons of fuel that is useless unless one wants to take the chance of running dry and getting stranded on the side of the road.

That is the built in reserve allowance. I hadn't looked in the manual in awhile but I think thats were I had read that refrence becaused it had cincerned me also.<br />

I did let it get down to les then a gallon left in the tank ONCE. after filling it short drive the engine light came back on. <br />

After removing and putting the gas cap off and on the light went out about 45 miles latter. This ocurance was in the manual as well.

I was at thoroughbred motorsports in Troup, Tx last monday
one of the things I ask about was the gas tank, it holds 9.5 gal
it goes into reserve when 3 gal is left or 6.5 gal has been used
so if you are getting about 30 miles per gal you still have about 90 miles to empty
if you fill up when the reserve light comes on you will only put in 6.5 gal and be full.

Thanks to both Silverdevil and BenO for your info. I was aware of what the manual says about the reserve allowance but didn't think it would be 1/3 of the tanks volume, which is basically what Silverdevil is saying that TMS told him. At least now we know "the rest of the story".

I just finished a 2700 mile trip. I now have 6100 miles on the stallion. I got 35 mpg on the highway, this was doing mostly 75 mph with the cruise control on.

I found out that if you have about 1 1/2 gallons left in the tank and make a hard left turn or a long sweeping left curve at 70 mph that the gas will move to the right and the fuel pump will lose pressure and the engine will quit. It happened twice, once during a left U-turn and once in a long sweeping left hand curve. There is apparently no baffles in the tank.

Rumor mill has it that TMS is now putting an eleven gallon tank in the stallion, this has not been confirmed.

Talking with MT at Americade they still hold true to 45 Highway and 32 city. I said to the rep. is that at 35 MPH with a 120lb driver ? She said EPA figures. I said we are getting only 30's according to the people on TT message board. She shrugged her shoulders. Wow every year the price jumps $3,000 showing them now in the $32,000+ range. I only saw one Registered Stallion at Americade out of 35,000+ motorcycles. ??????
