The dates in the original post are the 18th - 23rd. I am planning to get there the evening of the 17th to make sure I don't miss any exciting events on the first day, then leaving the morning of the 24th so I don't miss the Awards Ceremony at the end. Am I missing something here?

Yes, Jr is trying to get a large group together. He says the more the merrier so everybody feel free to jump in here. The plan is for everyone to meet at Jr's house the evening of the 15th. He is going to put on a big feed and put everyone up for the night. The next morning, after he serves breakfast, he will lead the group north for a two-day ride to Osage Beach. Should be a lot of fun.

I will probably miss it because Jr will have used his 12-gauge on me long before June due to me posting this.

Got my reservation made, arriving the 19th, leaving the 24th. Glad we got that settled. Now I can concentrate on gathering up wrecked bikes to sell to Jr for parts.

Got room booked but have found out the wife is going to have major surgery next month so I don't know how long she will be laid up.

Can someone nail down the dates..... Better yet, is there even a rough idea of the events schedule? Some of us can not commit to a full week there, so it sure would be helpful to get a hint of timing...

Yes, I know it is several months off and we could make reservations for the entire time then change later but that might very well prevent other members from getting rooms at the host motel on days they could have planned and attended the gathering.

Hey Jr. What is your travel schedule? I'm sure I am coming up to the gathering but don't know if it will be at the very first or later in the week. I'm also not positive when I'll head back to San Angelo. A lot will depend on what Tom and gang comes up with for events. I'm going to make reservations for the entire time for now then see how things go. If timing works out I'd love to tag along with y'all.

Gold Rush, I can't speak for Jr but it's OK with me if you go up with us. Only thing is, looking at the map it looks like it would be about 150 miles extra for you. That's if you meet us in Longview. Right now our plan is to leave on the 18th, spend the night somewhere (knowing Jr it will be under a 5-star bridge somewhere) and arrive in Osage Beach the afternoon or evening of the 19th.

On second thought, don't worry about Jr. He seems to approve of anything and everything.

Do you have a route already in mind. I was thinking of riding over to the Tyler/Longview area the 17th so I wouldn't have to get up at midnight to meet up with y'all. It's actually 390 miles from here to Longview so I'll get an extra full day of travel time each way. Not a problem and it will give me time to rest up a bit.

hi there Jerry you are right it is early but right now I will leave the 18th and get there the 19th. I have reservation for 19th--- check out 24th from my house it is 12 hrs or 13 hrs. we can look at it again when it gets closer

my thoughts are take hwy 59 north to Texarkana, interstate 30 to little Rock. ark. north on hwy 65, interstate 44, north on hwy 5, hwy 54 to Osage Beach. I am not fond of interstate but it will save some time.

This looks like it could be a great trip. Have mentioned to Pat and she was interested so we may go ahead and book a room. Would like to ride up with some of the other group. Meeting in Longview would be a good place for us. The route Jr. mentioned seems like the way to go for A to B riding.

That would work. Sounds like it would be a good plan and Navasota would be a good meeting place. Just went through there today going to and from Yankee's Tavern in Carlos.
