2015 Tri Glide sitting 1 5/8 inches high on the right side ?

anybody lopsided out there ?

my' 15 is in for 1,000 service and I mentioned it sits lop sided .. and they even went and checked a new '16 and damn if it isn't lopsided also ...

they are checking to see if they can correct it

go check yours and see if it sits totally level

I have this "mental issue" with all my vehicles sitting level .. can't stand a un-even stance

it runs and drives fine --but looking from the rear-- you can see she's listing to the left side --

40 grand later... me thinks it should sit level

it's my first trike and I do like it .. I have had 2 side cars in the past ..so I "kinda get" 3 wheelers

This has been reported before ... my 15 doesn't have the issue, but the dealer can fix it ... they need to contact dealer services and learn how. Mine was a little off before the drive belt replacement, but when they put the body back on, they fixed it.

Had that on my 11 T/G Common back then, And there have been a few reports of it on newer T/G's. As well''
My dealer fix it while i waited, They took the body off and readjusted the mounting bolts...

my 11 XXX (old forgotten production model discontinued in 2011) has been lopsided since I bought it in May 2011. I never got it fixed because it adds character to the trike. Kinda like a hat cocked off to one side.

That's one of the first things I checked when we went to pick up our new Tri in May, after reading about it on the forums. I guess we got lucky, I measured at different parts and the rear of the fenders were only 1/4 " different, really can't tell at all.

Most of the Tri's dip about 1" on left side. My dealer does a few of these and there is a process to level them. Do not let them just shim the body, not the correct way to do it. There are elongated holes on the chassis to level your Glide out.

The reply from Harley "is enjoy your ride .. its they way they are" ..nothing they can do to
correct it or permit my dealer to do any repairs to get it level ..

my initial reaction was to just leave it at the dealer and ask for my money back .. that would not be fair to the dealer because they are my friends and don't need the hassle .. I have put 4 grand worth of accessories on it to compound the mess ..




rethinking this .. I would not of bought the HD tri glide....if I would of known the Factory would not stand behind it ... I hate having to do battle with the factory

this in my 5th new Harley going back to a 1988 FLHTC ....only had one problem with 2006 Dyna that Harley had to send the motor out to be rebuilt -- my dealer led the effort on that mess..I never pushed the issue .. I had gotten a "Friday build " according to my wrench

We like the trike ... just hate rolling in somewhere and seeing it listing to one side ...
I know nothing is perfect .. just sad that Harley would push out lopsided "40 grand" Trikes and say thats they way they are ..

my plan is to take it to a buddy" hot rod frame fabricator " and have him access what that hell they are doing wrong at the factory to have some come level and some come lopsided ..and then set my trike right .. then send the bill to the HD factory .

Harley's not the problem, In my humble opinion it might be your dealer, My dealer fixed it while i waited.. As a matter of fact i was at the dealer just to kick tires and happened to mention it to the service guy, He looked at it and said hang around for about an hour and we'll straiten it out... As far as i know they didn't even run it though the warranty.. Now maybe because they routinely remove the bodes when ever they have to replace belts.. And they also do conversions.. So leveling it out isn't a big deal for them..

The dealers do not have to remove the body! I watched them do mine and like I said in my previous post, there are elongated holes on each side of the frame. Again, the body does not have to come off! I also know a guy that said was adjusted and still was about a 1/4" lower on the left side, so seeing how they did it he took a dremall and slightly elongated the slots and readjusted and now it's perfect. After mine was done, it was a noticeable difference. My wife definitely felt the difference riding on the back.
Again, the body does not have to come off!!

Based on the many other reply's to the same issue where they say the dealer fixes it without issue it really does sound like YOUR dealer is the one that doesn't want to make it right. Doesn't make sense that several dealers are fixing it and yours isn't then saying the factory is the problem. May I suggest that you first try another dealer. All dealers are required to do warranty work. If then you still don't get a favorable solution contact the regional rep. I bet that the final body alignment might be a dealer prep item. Just a thought before you go somewhere else and spend your own money.

cruzerdog, my 2011 trike has been a 1/2" lower on the left side from day one. i wasn't going to ask about that since i've had enough problems with it pulling to the right pretty bad. 2 dealerships have tried to cure the problem but to no avail. It really gets tiresome after a while. I know some of it is the crown of the roads. I do miss 2 wheels but my wife won't let me get rid of the trike cause she likes it. i do too but i'm going on 66yrs and would like to be on 2 again before i can't anymore. i'd have to get rid of the trike to be able to get a new ultra limited low. i'll lose my ass either way since i have $60,000 in my trike. Need to win the lottery!

I had a 62 Lark Daytona. 2dr with a 4-spd & a 289eng. Went to the Museum today since it was free for us Vets. It was cool. I went through the old museum that used to be the dealership. They have the Lincoln carriage there too. If you have never been there you should try to find time to see it. Jim
